His 2012-2013 season was legendary. If his calf wasn't injured during the heat series, its likely we would have finished them off.

Will be interesting to see if Tony is remembered as being greater than someone like Chris Paul.

Definitely will be. Championships are huge, especially after they retire. Look at how guys like Isaiah Thomas (the real one) are looked upon

He made Gay Payton, the best point guard defender of all-time, look like Patty Mills. And this was the last play of Rod Strickland's career. He literally never played another minute in the NBA:

HFS I totally forgot that was on Strickland
Sweet revenge for that stupid ass spin pass at the top of the key in the 1995 WCF he made

    I agree.

And for history's sake, here's what Tony had to say on it: "When there is talk about the best point guards, sometimes they don't talk about me. But that's not my main motivation. They can talk about Jason Kidd, Steve Nash, Deron Williams and Chris Paul. I still have the most rings."-Tony Parker

I really wish he had stayed. Last year was such a waste to an otherwise great career. Could've kept his playoff appearance record perfect. Oh well.

Him and Manu are the winningest duo in playoff history.

I'm happy to have been able to witness him play in his prime. One of the best finishers at the basket.

Such a class act. Played did his job and never showboated around. Also it was a fun ride with big losses and big wins. Next stop the hall of fame.

Hopefully he'll rejoin the organization at some point since he seems to want a front office position someday.

I’ll always remember this game and the one against the Sonics his Rookie season. Was only 19 at the time. That’s when Spurfan collectively knew this kid was gonna be really good.

Damn, he was out for blood against GP, you could see it in his eyes. It was the beginning of his time. And this was before his jumper was rebuilt by Chip I think. He doesn't have good mechanics, his legs flare out, he fades to the right a bit

To be fair Payton and Strickland were long of tooth
    But still

Parker was more than incredible at the rim with his quick flips and footwork. He led the league for several years in FG% at the rim not just for guards but everyone even at his size. Unbelievable. Hopefully he works with the Spurs current crop of guards.

Thank you Tony for years of joy watching the Spurs. No more Timmy, no more Manu, no more Tony. Maybe it’s time to just watch reruns of old Spurs games.

One of the three HOF's that taught kawhitter how to play the right way and have the right mentality and at ude but uncle had to spoil everything. As long as Barry is here there is no way he comes back in any way shape or form. Having said that, happy retirement.

Yep! It'll be great. Manu's was like going to a championship game. Place was rockin'! People that don't think TP will receive a huge crowd and ovation are out of touch.

Will be interesting to see if Tony is remembered as being greater than someone like Chris Paul.
    I certainly think he will!
    Four good reason!

Sure but when is how legend Speedy Claxton going to retire?

Loved watch TP all these years. Like all of the big 3, he sacrificed a ton to win here. One of the GOATs.

Timmy and Manu were still playing at a good level when they called it quit at 40-41. Porker at 37 got pinned to the end of the bench during a playoff run after he bolted for another team because “muh minutes.”

    Parker gonna retire a hornet?

No one-day contract with the Spurs?
