AD, Bron & Kawhi would be interesting, just saying. I think there’s a reason why all of a sudden they’re happy to give up their youth core for AD.
what? healthy Ingram is the only basketball player in the lakers' "youth core", the rest is complete trash (regardless of the situation), Davis is only 26.

Things have turned, the East is the beast now unless Fakers get AD. We are one or two years away from actually competing depending on DDR and LMA contracts. I just don't believe in those two.

I have many problems with Pop and the roster, but Spurs would have swept or beat Denver in 5 if it weren't for Pops stupid death lineup of Mills and Marco. Pop lost that series. Our team was better.
Needs a GM that will take away those options then...

I agree if Durant and Klay aren't going to be available, then there's a good chance to win the West.

Portland and Nuggets aren't that much better than the Spurs.

Too bad the Spurs still have no chance being led by DD, LMA, and Patty ing Mills.
True. All the Dubs' falling back to earth does is give more incentive for Pop to stay his course.

Big props to Klay coming back to take the FTs with a torn ACL. Don’t know if he thought he could come back in the game or just didn’t want to let Toronto pick a bad FT shooter to take them but major props none the less.

I think he was legit trying to get back in. Not only did he come back for the FTs, but then he ran back to the locker room and Doris reported he was trying to keep warm and get them to let him come back.

I don't think even he understood the extent of the injury until the adrenaline/shock wore off.

Sucks for Klay. We all said the only thing that could beat these Warriors was injuries and it sure did a number on them.

He definitely was planning on playing with the torn ACL. He didn't want to come out.

All this talk about the Spurs wanting Thompson in the draft and lucking out to end up picking Kawhi. To be honest, I think the Spurs would have won the le in 2014 with Thompson and they probably would have won in 2013 if it came down to Thompson shooting those free throws. Guarding LeBron was always a team effort. Klay is held back on that team. He was amazing last night and no doubt it would have gone 7 if Thompson had not have landed funny and torn his ACL. He was on fire.

But karma cameback. Green made a reckless play that injured GSW player on a roll not unlike when Kawhi got injured two years ago.

Of course he didn't understand he snapped it.

It was adrenaline/warm knee, once he cooled off he was seen limping out of the arena.

Also the way his knee went it was identical to DJ Murray's ACL snap, same angle.

I get the same vibe from Derozan like I did with RJ. They knew it was always an awkward fit and they would gladly trade him if they could. Plus Derozan just seems more miserable here compared to RJ's situation (which was just awkward fit, but no worries about his mental health like Derozan has to also deal with). I think they will trade him.
Awkward fit maybe, but the situation isn't the same as with RJ. RJ quit trying to make it work (to my eyes) and hid on the floor. Derozan has been trying, and I think that PATFO (and I) have some respect for that. The fit with Derozan/around him hasn't been great, but there are times he's looked good...

Donkey has to report to camp in '16 shape but that might actually bode well for him since it will be a contract year. They also need to sign guys (Disabled Player Exception) like Rudy/Lamb to fill in for Snake/Klay. Might also need to bring back Cousins since someone is going to offer Looney a solid contract. Otherwise, they might have to scrap the bottom & offer the vet min to Carmelo
Not sure that works for the warriors. If they sign Klay and Durant, they are deep into tax territory for sure. While they can claim Disabled Player Exceptions for those guys (out for a year expected), I'm not sure how that interacts with the salary cap. I believe the DPE is just another exception, allowing you to spend more salary when above the cap, not an exemption from paying Lux tax on your total salary. Given the warriors are in the repeated tax, those DPE's are going to be REALLY expensive for the ownership.

The DPE for Durant and for Thompson are going to be MLE slots.

Sure, but that doesn't change the fact that a Warriors team that resigns Durant and Thompson is going to be above the tax line - and thus paying repeater tax on those DPE's - MLE size slots of ~9 Million, costing the ownership something between 22.5 million (minimum repeater tax at 2.5 to 1) and 31.5+Million (peak repeater tax is 3.75 to 1, or more!)...

Perfect chance to rebuild for the Warriors tbh. Offer KD the max. Trade Green for a 1st rounder. Sit out Curry for load management. Dump Livingston. Waive Iggy. Hope DeMarcus opts out and then TAAAAANK for a high draft pick. You still have 2 great snipers in Klay and Steph. KD should come back to 80% the player he was which is still an Allstar. Get a young stud in the draft and you will be back in the thick of things in 2021
