Consistency, aggressiveness and better "awareness" is what he's lacking. Kid is oozing talent but it's up to him to unlock it.

And I think coming off the bench with less pressure to perform can do nothing but help.....

Defense was dog in the first quarter and team was missing badly. Got extremely hot on offense in the 2nd quarter and defense stepped up.

Good, fun, entertaining game so far.

The Hornets are practically a mirror image of our current Spurs squad too. That can be taken as a bad thing or a positive.

it's really weird that most people here don't seem to understand spacing. Pulling the big man out the paint to get easy drives to the basket is some you even do in 3-on-3 street ball games. With all 4 perimeter players being drivers you need a stretch big to optimize the offense. Yes Aldridge ain't the one cause he gives up way too much on D, but it's a fact that we need a player like that in the starting line up to optimize the team's ceiling. Poeltl fits better with the bench, where he's surrounded by shooters. If you want to start Jakob you can't play him with none 3-point shooters like Keldon and DeMar

The offense doesn't flow through Poeltl, so surrounding him with shooters doesn't make sense. I could see if he was the Jokic type and capable of forcing defenses to collapse, but that's not his game.
