we're able to argue and then not be mad at each other. i dno if that would be possible if he was a Q . luckily he never was computer savvy enough to fall into that rabbit hole
used to be fun. now its just gotten dull because he doesnt care about being factually correct anymore. and he's gotten more dishonest about things. i mean, the guy has spent most of his earning years as a loan officer and when we talk about taxation he pretends to not understand how marginal tax brackets work (ie claiming that earning more money can actually mean you keep less). and then when he's corrected, he'll make the same mistake next time.
and then he's gone mostly mask-off on race stuff. all about the "black people should be grateful for slavery because they're better off now" talking points, etc.
when i tried getting him to watch hamilton he started rambling about how he wont watch it because of BLM as if that has anything do with it
but every now and again its fun to argue. we dont take it personally, even if my wife/mom start getting uncomfortable thinking we're about to sever our relationship over it
