I paid off my own student loan.
I thought that is what we are supposed to do in life?

You're talking to someone who lived with mom till he was 26.
Colleges that may benefit from Biden student loan handout have spent over $130 million on lobbying since 2021
He is pretty crafty, though... purchasing their votes with tax payer money.
This is an L for the country and our crumbling currency, but a win for Democratic politicians, tbh.
I did too and yet somehow I'm not butthurt about people who had to take twice as much money on loan getting a small break. Why are you?
Oh right, the persecution.
Not fair

perhaps not but its still topically accurate
maybe one day some of the conservatives on this board can identify as funny
koriwhat owned again
You’re over 30 and still live with your parentsgoteeem
That's okay, invent whatever narrative you need to feel less owned.![]()
Joey Biden
81 Million votes
But I've seen first hand that "funny" here is very much along party lines.
Nah sometimes you say that’s so dumb it’s funny
You literally talked about living with your parents and stomping off to your room when they watch Rachel Maddow![]()
Never said such.
Monogoloid![]()
Briefly on topic, reportedly the authority to modify loans came from the HEROES Act.
Government shouldn't backstop those loans, period. If they want to have a program to subsidize tuition, room and board for low income students, that's fine.
Otherwise financing should be provided by the Colleges themselves, and there should be no reason why somebody can't bankrupt on such a loan.
That puts the onus/risk on Colleges. It forces them not to charge extravagant amounts and ensure there's an interest from them to have a pipeline from College to employment (if they ever want to get paid).
It also gives young kids an option to walk away from such loans with a credit hit early in their lives, but otherwise don't have that loan hanging on them for life.
I mean, I get the dig, but you don't really want that. Unless you want to make those loans not dischargeable in a bankrupt proceeding.
Didn't you get multiple COVID relief checks and 'free' vaccines? The problem isn't getting your 'free' money, the problem is you want more and more free ...
And it's still in my bank account.
And your stimmy is probably still in your bank account as well
I think the 1.1 million dead people who got stimmy checks probably didn't need the $ either.
In the meantime, the value of the currency continues to crumble.
