Man. Top prospect in a generation, a potential trove of future lottery picks over the next five years, and Pop at the helm.

    Not bad. IMO
To think GSW said a couple of years ago they were light years ahead of every organisation, I wonder what they think now.

I know he did not take time off except for one week once to help his wife
When she was sick . He had the money he did not need to keep working
he could have told the spurs he needed a 2 month 1 year break they would have gave it to him without hiring a head coach
    You’re a ing piece of .

It all went south when Lacob listened to his son over his GM, and they drafted Wiseman and Kuminga over LaMelo and Franz Wagner.

    ing sad
$80 million, for 'The Winningest Coach in NBA History,' you ignorant piece of . You don't have a clue about the relationship of Pop and his wife. The years they had together were a treasure, I'm sure.

He should have stop coaching and took care of his wife before she passed

Time for me to make another plea to have the site hide quotes from posters on one's ignore list. If I don't want to read their posts, I don't want to read quotes of their posts either.

Good point. I'll refrain from quoting disturbing quotes in the future.

It's not your fault. Everyone has different ignore lists. I just think it's a bad site feature.

I haven't looked into how this site was built (I'm going to assume React and all the other basics), but it shouldn't be that hard to code out.
I'd be willing to help on that front no fee, should timvp and @KoriEllis have the desire to look into it.

Edit: I just looked at the code.
    Lol. Right on.

I thought nephew broke him and everything that happened in following years was horrible.
From trading for DDR when it was obvious the roster shoudl've been blown up to all those disgusting Patty/Bryn/Marco lineup variations.

Still, he recovered and did an amazing tankjob last season, with the season before without DDR and LMA being decent.
Hopefully we see the real Pop back over the next few seasons.
This was unforgiveable tbh...I've wanted him gone since then

Maybe this person is already on the staff, but I'd like to see the Spurs make a considerable investment in an assistant who is an X's and O's "guru" so to speak. At this point, I imagine it is no longer pop's strength.

Why would you imagine that? He's created some of the greatest inbound plays ever.
He's seen it all, he know how to counter with his history and wisdom.

You think he's just old and feeble now?

I think the game has changed... and he's old.

My guess (could be wrong) is that his value is more as a motivator and leader, and less as a tactician at this point. But I've never played or coached professional basketball so I don't actually know.

I savvy. To be fair though, he has overhauled the offense several times throughout his tenure and as the league has changed.
    That should be considered.

Five more years of post-game conferences talking about wine, excoriating Trump, triggering conserva s like ducks, and explaining "the ball didn't go in tonight".. can't wait, tbh

So much for retiring when Tim retires. Tim will be applying for Social Security and Pop will still be coaching this team.

I understand what you're implying, that he didn't focus 100% on her, but have you ever thought that maybe his wife told him to continue coaching? I don't know any of the details at all, but that could also be a possibility.

Why didn't you look after your son instead of posting to Spurstalk?

You're a worthless piece of and a failure, and worst of all just a hopelessly stupid person who doesn't seem to realize how stupid he is. Go yourself.
    tbh...
