He can't dribble the ball. That's kind of a requirement for a point guard.
Dollar Tree Murray occasionally gets to the basket and looks just like his twin but then he can't make a pass to save his life

Couldn't hit water with an oar.
Not worried about Branham whatsoever tbh. He averaged 10 ppg as a rookie and has multiple 20 point games. He will be fine. Blake on the other hand is deff a work and progress, kid has the tools but he needs a really good mentor I think.
Wesley would be fine if they weren't trying to make him a PG. He just doesn't have the abilities needed to be one. Can his handling and decision making get better sure, but never to the level that's needed for a Pg.
well hes gotta adapt....We are what we are....Hes useless if needs guys to make it easier for him...
The way Blake dribbles away from his defender and uses his quick first step to get separation and drive inside is really quite impressive. He really does have the tools; he just needs to learn to put them together.
Yep. I hated this idea from the get go. , I hated when they thought they could make Primo a point guard. This is ing Lloyd Daniels and Vinny Del Negro all over again.
Part of the reason for that could be that he was mostly used as a combo guard in college, and usually not as the primary ballhandler. The Spurs are probably playing him at PG to help him develop those ballhandling skills.
ing Dom has been absolute money.
Dejounte was bad at this early in his career too.
I think Wesley has only a puncher's chance (maybe 20%) of actually becoming what the Spurs want him to be. Far too early to cut bait on him, but if he ends up being a bust it's not a catastrophe.
Its 100 percent that. There is so much more to running the point than dribbling. He can't really do any of it. I'd bet he spent a lot of time on his three but we don't get to see it because he's trying to pass.
But Dejounte was always a point guard. He won't be a bust as a pro, but I have completely soured on whoever is behind this .
Malaki's only 2 baskets in his last 20 attempts are flukey 3-pointers off the rim![]()
LADY LUCK with Bran on one of a fortunate bounce
Branham hits another terrible three.
Agreed tbh. lol at Branham's first make being that shot. Maybe that'll get him going. Also super impressed with Barlow. Really didn't think he'd ever amount to anything last year but it's starting to come together. Thought he was a tweener but he's big and athletic enough and has a good enough skillset right now to be a backup center I think.
Champ better be a rotation guy on opening night. That stroke is all kinds of legit.
man branham and champ sucking again along with wesley....only barlow making shots
Anybody else think this offense is abysmal? Nobody sets screens, they just run around until the shot clock winds down or they turn it over.
Branham with another lucky basketit, will take what we can get at this point
Champ's got 10/5/3 on 4 shots.
