Birch sighting
Khem Birch sighting
Khem Birch exists!!
the man
the myth
the legend
Birch in the flesh = 82-0
Man Birch looks like a bouncer
Jeremy being fed and he responds with a great stretch![]()
sochan hit that 3 but the form still seems likere this a significant hitch there
Now that's the Sochan we know! Looked like that leg might be bothering him still![]()
PG who couldnt dribble past his guy and had to resort to a give and go?![]()
3 scores by sochan to end that quarter though. 2 give and go's for layup/dunk, and the corner 3
I don't think Sochan is a PG, and I don't think he'll ever get there, but I think experimenting is valuable. It opens up lineup combinations (going huge defensively and getting just enough from a PG by committee) and might mean he gets to a minor negative as a primary, rather than I think (now) a pretty clear negative.
Give and go there at the end of the 3rd feels like his best type of offense - most valuable as a complementary piece who has a bit of juice on ball, and builds up the confidence to use the ball in advantage situations.
tough crowd
Thats what PGs do tbh. Not sure why the fixation on Sochan. To me, in lineups hes been in, the Spurs are always up. That’s a sign he’s doing something right even if it isnt showing up on the box score. As opposed to other games Ive seen since the season started with a traditional point like Tre and we blow the lead or cant hold one.
Amen will be the 2nd best player from his draft tbh.
birch actually playing well defensively. had a nice pocket pass to sochan earlier as well. but offensively... ugh
because the sochan at PG experiment is one of the bigger spurs stories of the year aside from Wemby
he was a top 10 pick a season ago. he will be discussed a lot.
the spurs lead and early offensive success this game came largely off the back of collins, no so much from sochan creating scoring opportunities. he had a nice run at the end of the 3rd. but no matter how much i squint i dont see an offensive initiator
Experimenting is fine. Esp when you're winning 20 games a year and 30 games a year like the Spurs will this season. I'm just not sure if trying him at PG is what's best for Jeremy's long term development especially when anybody with half a basketball brain knows it will never be a long term thing![]()
Like Sidy would be a better guy to try at PG if we're experimenting tbh![]()
Darius Days, the one that got away![]()
Sean questioning the weight of our players.. Birch 235 lbs and Sissoco at 200 lbs.![]()
Interestingly the type of finishing piece the Spurs might want to consider in 3-4 years when Rockets pass on extending him.
Barlow looks so good.. he future is bright
Jalen Green and I haven't seen Tari Eason.
