This will make you feel old, Tim Duncan's daughter plays volleyball for Stanford.

That's awesome to see! Timmy supporting his kids athletic dreams!

I hope he'll meet up the Spurs in training camp once it gets up and going. Not sure if his knees will allow him to go out there and practice with them, but his instruction could help in some capacity.

Off-topic: I hate what greedy school presidents and needless conference realignment has done to collegiate sports. It just looks dumb and wrong having 'ACC' emblazoned on a Stanford jersey.

Nah, he'd need both palms up with the 'who me' look on his face for that.

To me, looks like he waked and baked, or didn't get enough sleep, or some combination.

Nah, this look comes after 2-3 of those “who, me?”, this is more like “really? Again? Whatever” things. Ngl though, I almost miss those as much as seeing The Big Fun play

Wut? When did Stanford join the ACC?! That’s just trash.

ACC lost its way once Maryland left and they allowed Virginia Tech and a few other “football” schools to join before that. It will always be a basketball conference to me.

This year. USC, UCLA, Washington, Oregon all went to the Big Ten as the SEC was carving off the best Big 12 teams. ACC, trying to survive, went for some remainders. I've lost track.

Thats wild. Guess they didn’t want to go the way of the PAC-12.

Not sure any of those teams add much though, since they’re not particularly reputable at football or basketball. Maybe it’s a play to collect snooty alumni bases (Stanford, Berkley, Duke, and UVA). But what do I know.

Gets even better: SMU paid to get in the ACC and will forgo its share of TV revenue for several years just because the alums didn't want to lose the musical chairs alignment game.

The ACC's days may be numbered. I've sort of followed everything, but it's complicated. The ACC has a grant of rights that prevents schools from leaving for some years without an exorbitant penalty. But it's a matter of time.

Football drives everything and the ACC only has a few big football schools. The BIG and SEC are hulking, waiting to grab them. I'm sure the SEC would love Clemson, Miami, and Florida State. The BIG has wanted Notre Dame since forever.

The rest may be left in the cold, although the BIG has a high academic consideration so may go for the likes of UNC and Duke. But again it's all about football.

Agreed it's the gray hair that makes Tim look old. He has gray in his hair and his beard. If someone colored in the grays, he would look pretty much the same as he did as a player.

Timmy is aging fine. He just has grey hair. I like that he's embracing his island roots more.

Darn, was it the right wrist Castle hurt? He's still got something around it (unless he's OK and likes the feel of a sleeve/wrist band?).

Sean Elliott had knee surgery either late in HS or early in college, and he wore a brace for a couple of years. That’s much longer than needed, but I guess it became like a security blanket. I read somewhere that might have been the reason he dropped to #3 in the draft, in spite of being the Wooden award winner as the best men’s college basketball player. Thank you, stupid teams for not actually checking his knee in the pre- draft process. Even after he ditched the brace, he always wore a sleeve.

I think Sean had chronic knee issues which led to chronic NSAID use which led to chronic kidney issues and then failure. But Bob Bass sold Red on Ninja and it all worked out, basically.

He had quad tendon issues, near the knee, but not ligament or meniscus. Structurally, his knee was sound.
