Well, in the OT he gave humans the most vengeful part of himself. A lot of death and torture for rule breakers. It's why I ask.
Yes, Old Testament God is for everyone. He is the Almighty Father. If he wasn't for everyone, he wouldn't have given his only Son to the world to defeat death, such that we may all have salvation, if only we let him into our hearts. God gave us the most loving gentle part of himself to show us true love.
If we cannot turn to Him now? After all he has done for us?
Then I don't know what to say.
How would you look upon a King that gave His Life for the salvation of all humanity? Suffering more than any human could along the way. Spit upon. Mocked. And still praying for his enemies with His dying breath.

I haven't read/studied the Old Testament too much.
I usually just open my Bible to a random page and read the passage that God chose for me to read that day.
But while I will not pretend to understand the thoughts and actions of God...as His understanding is unlike our own..
I just Know, that Our Heavenly Father, and His Son, Jesus, are pure love and understanding. And I lean on them for everything. They are my Rock. And they keep me strong.
Life will happen. Sorrow. Heartbreak. But we carry on with the power of God. Amen.
If you're gonna throw your entire belief system into a book, I'd think you'd want to read it all and not just the cherry picked love and peace stuff?

Our Salvation is to know Jesus. And to live by the fruits of the holy spirit.
The rest is very important to gain understanding and knowledge to live a humble, responsible, and fruitful life, but Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. Follow him and all is well.
