I went to a few Warped Tours. They were never that great. I don't like watching 30 minute sets from bands. That's why I hate festivals.
A guy I used to work with actually asked us to turn off JP's greatest hits once...because he couldn't listen to a gay singer. He said he was a big fan of Priest until he found out that Rob was gay...I really wish I was making this up. I'm guessing he might have been a WEE bit insecure about his own sexuality.
Honestly, though, in retrospect...how freaking obvious was it that Halford was gay? I mean he all but wore a sign around his neck proclaiming his sexual preferences...but none of us caught on 'till he came out. A bit ironic, I think, that two of the greatest singers in the VERY testosterone driven genre of hard rock (Rob and Freddy Mercury) were gay.
Priest was the only arena metal concert that I ever had floor seats for (Ram it Down tour)...and they absolutely kicked ass. As Bruce inson put it on VH1's "greatest metal bands" countdown...seeing the Halford version of Priest is like trying to stand in front of a freaking mechanized assualt. Arguably the greatest metal band EVER!
I haven't been to a concert in forever ...
Linkin Park (3 times)
Matchbox 20
Jars of Clay (2 times)
Audio Adrenaline
That's all I can remember
Christian concerts don't count. That's the same as going to church.

Jurassic 5
G. Love and SPecial Sauce (at Stubbs...smoked with him after the show)

oh yeah...forgot the openers...
Fabulous Thunderbirds (???) and Jerry Jeff Walker (opened for Beach Boys)
Bryan Adams (opened for Foreigner)
Juice Newton and Righteous Brothers (opened for Alabama)
Never seen a concert in the SBC Center...or the Dome...or Verizon...ELO was in Austin, the Beach Boys were in the parking lot at Freeman (with a bunch of sand), the rest were in the Arena.
Had floor seats for Foreigner.
I saw them last September at the KROQ INLAND INVASION concert in San Bernadino, CA. AWESOME SHOW!!!!
At least you can accept and recognize that fact![]()
Paki do you live here? They were in Austin for their last tour, at the Back Yard. It was a great show. But come to find out, if I had gone to the game with my husband instead I could have met Tony and Manu, and then run into Tim at a restaurant afterwards. GRRRRRRRRRR.
I saw Jerry Jeff Walker and Johnny Dee and the Rocket 88s this past September at the Schertz Party in the Park. Excellent!
I'd have to say some of the best concerts I've been to were:
Eagles-Farewell Tour
Harry Connick Jr.
Kenny Chesney(all 5 times)
