I admit i havent sat down and listened to one of his WHOLE sermons.

But the few times ive heard him.

He seems like he just encourages people to work hard and enjoy life.

I don't think that Osteen is seeking out love of money. I think that he realizes that the key to uber-church success is a message everyone can relate to, including himself: the desire for financial success and freedom.

People can twist Bible verse up one way and down the other, so it's no surprise to me that he found his niche in saying that God wants his people to be materially wealthy. It's obviously working out very well for him, but it doesn't give his wife a pass to throw hissyfits on Continental.

Osteen is saying 'Get Rich when you believe'. There's a problem with that.

Marcus, that's not all he preaches about. You should actually read one of his books. Listen to a few of his sermons. He is not saying, "hey come and accept Christ so that you too can live in a mansion." He spreads all kinds of messages.
