San Antonio is a much better place to interracial date then say... well most of Alabama or East Texas.

Because there is a higher tolerance for it here then in other places? Since San Antonio already has a majority minority population there is less stigmas associated with interracial dating/marriage. I'm hispanic and have dated a white girl, a half white half hispanic, and a hispanic. Neither times have their parents been cautious of me or the like... I can't be 100% sure that would always be the case in other parts of the country (or even here) where the white population is partially an enclave unto itself.

We have a lot of inter-racial couples here in Philly too. I see nothing wrong with it. To each his own.

I concur. Back in the early 80's I fell for this girl who was white, Southern-Baptist and from Indiana. My family was cool with her but she couldn't even tell her brothers since they'd probably want to kick my ass. We got kind of serious but I knew that unless she confronted her family it would never work. Years later we saw each other again and admitted that if she wasn't so young at the time and if we had met later or in a different place..things may have been different.
But I am very happy the way things turned out. Thank God for unanswered prayers.
