for the record, i was never banned, even though that train guy was really cool and lobbied for it in one of the threads yesterday because he apparently could not handle the verbal rhetoric i was throwing his way.

i guess he doesn't wield as much internet-power as he thought.

homes fan...didnt think of all that, great points.
spurs fans rip a guy for being damn sure he didn't take any chances to do anything goofy and this thing up.

better safe (and angering bitter fans of teams we've disposed of) than sorry (and doing something stupid/turning the ball over.)

    in conclusion, whaaa

yep...it looks like your banning suggestion wasn't enough to put me on time out.

you have found out through experience that you don't have any more power in cyber space than you do in the real world.

hehe...its so funny that you want people banned.
i might not like the borderline re ed statements that you come up with, but i will stand up till the end for your right to say them.

but than again, thats what seperates me from Mussolinni's like you.

    great point man...
now i think it is totally cool that you spend your time lobbying for other users to get banned rather than engaging them on the subject at hand.

as soon as you clarified that this is "not a democracy," I realized that personal principal no longer applies.

OK Griffin isn't like that cretin Dan au who would take shots at the buzzer when the Mavs had the game won. Griff is a vet. He knows how to play the game.

Griff was out on a fastbreak. The Suns were fouling. It was their only shot at winning a game. Griff barely beat the shotclock on that dunk. That leads me to believe he had no idea how much time was left. He just knew that if he scored then Phoenix would conceed and stop fouling and the game would be over. EVERYONE is going to dunk on a play like that if they know the other team is going to foul. I just believe that Griff didn't know how little time was still left on the clock.

Griff doesn't get a little clock ticker on the bottom of his screen like we do. Players do forget how much time is left sometimes. He was directly under the basket. He cant see the clock, he just dunked it as a Suns player was coming at him.

The suns were in full attack mode to. They get to pad their stats just because they suck and are losing? If the ball is in Marion's hands on a fastbreak with time winding down the same thing happens... but because they are losing it's okay?

Don't get me wrong, I'd be pissed if the shoe was on the other foot, but as usual spurs/suns fans are blowing it out of proportion.

he dunked the ball at the end instead of just running out the clock
    it was stupid and classless
Cheryl Miller later stated that Robert Sarver would be making a tape to send to David Stern demanding Griffin be suspended in the Finals.

If Tony Parker was in this situation, would you rather him get the dunk or get fouled and go 1/2 from the FT line if he had no idea how much time was left?

Tony wouldn't take 24 seconds to run a fastbreak.

Obviously he would pass it out to Nazr at the 15 second mark for the trey.

I can't believe Mavs fans are even calling their team a "dynasty" - it's laughable... maybe when they get swept by the Heat they can make WCF rings and a WCF DVD for all their players, like the Astros did after getting spanked in their first world series ever last year.

You're such an idiot that it almost pains me to respond to this argument - I have this game on tape and just went back and watched what happend: he (Griffin) was way ahead of any Suns player since the Suns were down by 7 and the shot clock was off... then Griffin slows down, looks at one of the 300 game clocks that are shown in a typical NBA arena (probably the one over the Suns basket based on where it seems he was looking) and dunks the ball at the buzzer!!

If "Grif is a vet" and "knows how to play the game" like you claim, then he would know how much time is left on the clock. I guess like Derek Harper blew your only other chance to get to the Finals in 1988 because he thought the Mavs were up by one, it must be a Dallas curse that players don't know the score or game times when they are clearly posted throughout the entire arena.

When did anyone here say anything about a dynasty? The suns were screwed when Thomas went running his mouth like the ignorant person he is. Accept defeat and move on. Suns got out played in every second half except game 4, Mike got outcoached big time, the owner needs to take notice of this and do some major moves in the offseason.

Wow - you're still as dumb as ever - the "dynasty" comments were made on about page 3 of this thread... secondly, the Mavs had no major injuries to deal with this entire series and the Suns had plenty of key ones (Kurt Thomas, Amare, Raja Bell) and still took it to six games and had the sixth in control if they didn't run out of gas. Avery "out-coached" to the tune of a season-low 14 pts in the first quarter... against a team that plays no defense... except it's difficult to play any defense when every call isn't going your way...

    ronmexico.
    the injury thing is weak.
mike dantoni has no appreciation for just how difficult it is to win an NBA le, but i excpect him to develop it through years and years of coming up short.
it really comes across with statements like "thats why we will win a le here soon" last night ("because our guys have charachter" (?)).
when you get to rarified air like the WCF you can't take it for granted that you will be back. thats why the injury excuse goes out the window, just as it did or should have for dallas when Dirk went down in 03 WCF. i look for fine regular season records and future second round exits from you guys in future years a la Nellie's Mavs.

Did you enjoy donatoni's comment that "they can't guard us" after he won game 1 scoring 120 points? that wasn't very wise. how did that work out for you guys struggling to score 100 points per game the rest of the season? avery had more peices to work with but certainly outcoached dantoni in the sense that he had his guys playing championship style basketball and worrying about all facets of the game, including rebounding and defense and not just offense.

i can understand why you guys are proud of your team and all given all its adversity etc. don't forget that you had amare last year, though, and that wasn't enough either. Certainly you guys are unlikely to beat SA in a 7 game series anytime soon, no?

For the Phoenix Suns it should be back to the drawing board...
instead, they'll role out the same gimick offense next year with, i suspect, similarly predictable results.

dantoni is an emotional guy and its cool that he shows so much love for his team, but as a result of this he ends up saying a lot of things that are way off base.
