Oh, no! But if the guy wants another chance to prove himself here, he's probably going to have to take the minimum. He hasn't proven himself enough for more than that.
Unfortunately, his current contract IS worth about 2.5M and lasts thru next season.

There had to be some type of interest from the Spurs for Macijauskas..he was part of the original deal...I think he could really blossom with all the double teams on Timmy..he just needs the time..he is a little expensive at $2.5, but its for 2 years only & he would be off the books in 08' which is when we need him to be off the books.
Repeat after me: SALARY BALLAST. Smith made about 1.5M and Barry about 4.7M last year. Both teams were over the cap during the season, so the salaries had to be within 25% +- some small figure. They weren't.

I understand all that..the point is if they were willing to take him in the original trade, then there is a possibility that he could be included IF this trade goes down, & IMO I think he could definitly help us out..if you disagree, cool, no need to get all smart about it.

Was Macijauskas apart of the original deal? I thought Nachbar was until he was traded to NJ and that's what killed the trade. I doubt the spurs want Macijauskas since we already have Beno who's a very similar player.

Save some money and go from 34 yrs old to 21 yrs old with some hops in his legs. Man, I love youth. It's just what the Spurs lack, An influx of youth and talent. It's like putting out that old, dusty, on it's last leg, clunker for a fresh smelling sports car with nitro. Now who wouldn't want to test drive that? Let's make that trade. Imagine Parker, Manu and Smith on a fast brake. I can't wait to see it!

No, Arvydas is supposedly a much better shooter (although you wouldn't know it from last season). The guy has two Euroleague MVP awards because of it.

Macijauskas can't get himself a good look at the basket during a time out.

Yeah he will. Duncan double teamed and he kicks out, open three. I hope he's still apart of the deal. Spurs need a Lithiuanaian to complete their all-foreign players objective.
