Yeah, all the Spurs need is ANOTHER three point shooter.
Dirk averaged 27.1 ppg against smallball, not against Bruce. Bruce had to move to cover Howard and Daniels and Harris and whoever else was lighting the Spurs up, plus he had to leave Dirk to try to help when someone blew past their defender. I'm all for a big lineup, but since it's now gone, there isn't anything better out there than what the Spurs already have IMO.

Wasn't it Boston that was the other team? Who do you want from the Celtics?

Spurs should trade for dalembert
NO THEY SHOULD NOT
2011 contract ends
gets paid like wallace to
we need a young athletic center.....who are we gonna start?? Fabulous??
What's wrong with that? If you are sending talent out the door then at least get some back. He fits the system.
Not every trade has to perfectly address your needs. That's how you end up doing ty deals.
ding ding ding! i thought my earlier post was gonna be the only one mentioning that.
I don't know that you can assume that an Iverson deal would just be a three-teamer with BOS-PHIL-SA. In the original deal, there was no mention of SA, and if the interest in Beno has something to do with an Iverson deal, then things have clearly changed.
If the supposed interest in Beno is completely independent of a deal involving Iverson, it would probably be fairly easy to bring in other teams to make a deal work out -- particularly if the Sixers have something that a third team wants and the Spurs desire something from that third team.
I'm not trying to really propose possibilities, other than the possiblity that a deal that would send Beno to Philly might not result in the Spurs taking back a player off the current Sixers' roster.
Beno, Oberto for Aston Kutcher
Well, it's not like the Sixers are the only team to express interest in Udrih. And it's not like Hunter was even rumored to be a Spurs' target...
There is an ESPN NBA insider report on Beano saying some teams are expressing intrest that was put up today. If anyone has insider would they please post what the article says
Udrih Draws Interest
Jul 5 - The Philadelphia Daily News reports a source indicated that the Sixers are among several teams to have contacted San Antonio about possibly trading for point guard Beno Udrih.
I thought boston was not so willing to trade for ai now...
And we are back to where the thread started.
No article. Just this same thing:

That is why I dont pay for stupid ass insider, I think this site probably knows more
someone wanted the espn insider posted
It was me, I didnt realize it would be the same thing
it does suck, i just signed up for the free month trial but i'm not keeping it after that. Espn charges for insider but you get basicly the same thing at hoopshype for free.
We shouldn't give up on Beno yet, he's young, cheap, has a good jumper and he can run the floor well with Manu, Tony, Finley and Brent. Give him a real chance. .
I think people are being too hard on him. He was a rookie. And this year he wasn't given much a chance because we needed Van Exel's brilliance instead.
Let's keep him.
I think that if we dont see any improvment next year, then we have to give up, but I agree that he deserves at least one season with minutes to see what he can do. UNless we get a sweet trade offer
