You must be the same people that bet on preseason football.

So sad for Spurs homers to get stoked about the Mavs losing in summer league ball.....very sad indeed. In addition to have this thread posted as a "sticky" is a new low i must say....congrats I guess lol.
Nobody's stoked. It's a ing joke.
And it's stickied because it's the official thread to talk about the Vegas summer league.
Also, anyone looking at the box scores can tell the Mavs are spreading minutes out more while other teams seem to playing 5-6 players the majority of the game.
Like I just said, it's a joke. Get over it.
Well maybe the le shouldn't be "mavs get owned".......
Umm ... that's the part that's a joke.
First of all, no one is stoked, it's all just fun, and you're getting your panties in a knot like a 14 year old girl on PMS. Secondly, it got pinned because it's the official Summer League thread.
Mavs got OWNED BY THE ROCKETS 70-71!!!!!! However Pops Mensah-Bonsu scored 3 points in 18 mins so he might have some potential....time will tell.
The whole point of this thread is to keep track of the prospects on the summer league roster. BFD the threads le is "mavs get owned" its a joke. Your a joke if you let it get to you.
Check out Kevin Martin's (Kings) stat line....the 20-24 is free throws. Has the league ordained him the Dwyane Wade of the Summer league? lol
23 Kevin Martin, G 33 3-8 1-1 20-24 0 7 7 1 0 0 4 2 27
Yeah I saw that too.
Also Brandon Hunter (Cavs team) went to the line a crazy amount. That's ridiculous.
What a bunch of pussies.
BTW, Mavs get blown out again in Long Beach 113-82. Glyniadakis seems like he's performing pretty steadily for Memphis. I think he's gotten to the line in summer league more than Rasho did in his career as a Spur.
Cuban shouldn't have pushed for all the rules changes....emphasizing the fouls called on hand checks, minor bumps, etc. It came back to bite him in the finals.....and it has made the game ugly....too many FTA's is boring....
He didn't, all he did and is doing is calling for better quality control for the officiating. He wants more accountability from the officials. He hasn't asked for any specific rule changes.
That's not what he claimed on the Letterman show where he took personal credit for not allowing periemter penetrators to be breathed on.
Then maybe I'm wrong but I had just read & heard that he was mostly pushing for a better quality control system for the officiating.
I've tried to make it more fun, but we've changed the rules around some," Cuban said. "I mean, the game got to a point where it really, it slowed down, and then they went through a whole set of rules changes, which really helped, and then these past couple years, I really got involved to outlaw all the handchecking and all the beating up of guys on the perimeter, so now the game's gotten a lot smoother, so you've got superstars like Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, Dirk Nowitzki who can take the ball to the hoop without all of that old Knicks ball, the old Pat Riley stuff, where they'd just beat up on people. So, we changed it up some."

Smoother if you consider Dirk, Wade and LeBron parading to the FT line 25 times a game smoother.
I also like how it was suddenly implemented in the second round of the playoffs and no one had time to adjust to it.
Boston Celtics 95
Toronto Raptors 49
After three quarters.
And the Bargnani legend grows...
Hermann played his first summer league game with the bobcats, i dont have the line, but it wasnt bad for his first outing, i think it was something like 19min, 7pts, 4 brds, 1 stl 1 TO. i'll have to keep an eye on him.
Thanks for the exact quote from the Letterman show.
That is what I find funny about it.....Cuban takes credit for rule changes that played a MAJOR role in the Mavs getting by the Spurs. He wasn't complaining then, but when it came back and went against him....then he complains...BIG TIME ! It is funny when you change the rules to benefit you and then get burned by those same rules!
Aaron Miles had another good game off the bench today -- 19 points, 5 assists, 1 turnover. Draft Express expands on what I said about him at the end of the D-League season:
Miles has shown plenty of improvement over the past year, particularly in his offensive game. Always an imposing defender and consummate floor general, Miles has been incredibly aggressive in taking the ball to the basket and getting to the free throw line. Miles now utilizes a wider arsenal of ball-handling and hesitation moves, being more motivated to get into the paint and find his own shot. It appears that he realizes that this is what it will take to make the NBA, and even if he gets his shot blocked on occasion, he’s helping himself a lot by doing so.

Chicago doesn't need another point guard.
We do.
