It had to be done due to Rivers sitting that long and the questions (at the time) about Brees' shoulder. It worked out well for both teams and I'm happy for Drew. But the Chargers have the better record and Rivers will soon be better than Brees could ever have been.

Brees' stats are somewhat misleading. He has passed per game for more yardage during his losses than his wins. Remember that 500+ yard passing game, that was a loss as well.
