It wasn't a well-officiated game. Dirk stepped on somebody's foot and there was no call of a foul on the Indiana player that maliciously stood there before Dirk's majesty. The officiating is in Dallas' favor to the point that even Mark Cuban isn't complaining. Looks like the rest of the NBA is going to have to look forward to another Mavs meltdown because nobody is actually going to be able to beat them 5 on 8.
How about the call that Terry got knocked on his ass and no foul and off Dallas? calls went both ways.

7 more and I would've had to call him Dirk Wade.
That already happened - it's called the 2006 Western Conference Semi-Finals... or as some call it "Dirky's 24 FT Adventure"

Try to get back on the subject. If Dirk had shot that jumper at the end of regulation and got the hit the same as the Pacer shooter...I GUARANTEE that he would have been on the line to win it. If someone else took that shot and Dirk would have got the same contact on a rebound shot...he would have went to the line. Pacers were fouled twice in the last few seconds...nothing was called...but Dirk gets those calls. That is what is irritating.
Exactly, anything in the final 15 seconds is automatically considered "bear-hug." Still, anything including Dirk in the Finals should automatically be considered "choke job."

Has anyone noticed Dirk isn't allowed to airball a shot? If the ball doesn't touch rim, a ref will blow the whistle almost automatically, no matter how many seconds it was after he shot it.

When Dirk takes one of his fadeaways if another player is within two feet of him he's flopping and flailing like a trout on a line. I've seen Parker's shadow nearly drop Dirk for a ten count.

Looked like solid D at the end of the game (once again!) by the Mavs to me...Howard with a block on O'Neal at the end of regulation and OT...

It just kills Spurs fans to admit that the Mavs can play defense...

Dirk is the man...keep hating!! hahaha...

He's a superstar...he's gets some superstar calls, just like the others, including Duncan (too bad Duncan can't make his FT's like Dirk!). That 3 Dirk hit after Granger's 3 was COLD BLOODED...

    Great game...

Spurs fans - wash, rinse, repeat. It's so easy to pull you offsides.

You ing babies. Starting a thread whining about the refs and calls in a game in which your team wasn't even involved and then getting pissy when someone tells you to basically shut the up.

So, again, shut the up. You can and whine and moan all you want about the outcome of other games. Bunch of overly-sensitive ty babies.

    Mavs > Spurs
    Dirk > Timmy

It may be hard to deal with, but it's fact as it stands right now.

(Cue the standard "rings" talk right about here. It's all you have.)
(Cue the "well at least we can TALK about our rings" talk right after that.)
(Then cue the "why are you on a Spurs board?" immediately after.)

I think its hilarious that Spurs fans are still arguing in this thread after the treatment Duncan and Manu got in Denver the other night.

Spurs get away with a heap and they think its 'good reffing'

Anyone else get away with it and its 'Stern's fault or flopping'

Bad calls went both ways...give me a break. Dampier's last 2 fouls to foul him out were hilarious enough. Great game..Mavs played good D down the stretch to win it. If I'm not mistaken, we should've taken the game in regulation after Terry's 3. Then Tinsley got yet another 2 FTs with 30 seconds left to tie it back up. Get over it. Good game and good win for the Mavs.

But I think Dirk would have gotten that call that O'Neal didn't because there was some kind of contact with under 5 seconds left... just an observation.

You mean when he dribbled off his foot and the ball went out of bounds and Terry looked around for someone to bail him out? Too bad he didn't just jump diagonally into a defender and throw up a shot because he gets whistles for that.

Now he's finally made 2 - one against the Suns and then that 3 - he's also playing out of his mind in the past 10 or so games, so he's impressing me... I made that comment back in november when I still felt it was accurate (esp. based on his Finals performance).

Don't try to turn me into John Kerry here - I called Joe Johnson "choke Johnson" back when he sucked it up against SA in the 2003 playoffs, but I would call Joe really clutch these days - the way he played against the Pistons last night was amazing... players have time to develop, change, and impress.

Or the time against the Suns when he came off a screen from Erik Dampier and got bumped BY DAMPIER, so he then jumped, screamed and threw a ball of the backboard... whistle and 3-point play.

he follows the manu school of flopping...if they call it, he will flop...it's part of the game just like bowen's b.s....i'm glad our mavs have figured it out, as long as they get rewarded, why the not? i've noticed lots of spurs fans lately calling out devin harris for flopping just because he's mastered taking charges. i personally don't see a flop but whatever ing works to get a win is the name of the game, you know it's true

when nash was a maverick, the guy couldn't buy a foul. he had no respect and it was frustrating to watch other teams rack up the fouls when the mavericks, ESPECIALLY NASH, couldn't get going their way when it came to officiating...anyway, keep obsessing about the mavs, it's funny how much time you spend ing about them, thank god i don't have that problem with your suns

Yeah - the problem is Nash STILL doesn't get a foul call, but that second-rate PG Jason Terry does... so wouldn't I be even more frustrated when Nash has won 2 MVPs and still gets the same treatment he got in Dallas? You can't complain about the calls the Suns get because they go to the line the least amount in the league, so your argument is incongruous.

Those are some big words for someone whos entire team does that and made a living off of it. If it werent for the art of flopping the spurs would have 2 less championships. You don't have anything to be complaining about.

No matter how second rate JT is, he still has more W's this season than Nash. Any way, what was the reason the Suns traded Nash and Kidd away? The Mavs traded Kidd away because they had stupid ownership by the name of Ross Perot Jr. Just a question.
