Also not listed in the stats is the fact that Deron is a horrible defender. His offense has come along nicely this year, but he's a top five worst defending point guard in the league.

You're right. And while he's no Bowen/Artest on the perimeter, Tony's quickness does allow him to stay in front of his opponents which is the (IMO) most important asset to being a good perimeter defender. Plus I've read coaches interviews where they've said he was very underrated on defense.

Tony's best season defensively was the 2004-05 season. He shut down everyone that year. Last year he took a step back and became more of an average defender. This year Parker is back to defending well ... but not quite back to the '04-05 level.

Congratulations Tony!. But actually only a dumb can compare Tony with Nash.I don't believe that Parker can be MVP of the league in the future but just now he does not have level to be MVP.We'll see what happen in the next 5 years.

It doesn't have anything to do with Eva. He was voted to the All-Star team for two years in a row now because the NBA coaches think he's one of the best players in the NBA. He's really far from a "scrub."
