I saw this on a website: Now Rogan is banned from the Comedy Club.
"The aftermath of the video of me clowning Carlos Mencia and exposing him for being a joke thief released its havoc on the internet like a tidal wave of exposure and comic justice. Unfortunately, it also got me banned from the club. I got a call from Mitzi Shore the owner of the comedy store yesterday, and she wanted to hear my side of things. I told her what happened on Saturday night with the whole Carlos thing, and she told me that she would try to work it out. She called me back today to give me a spot tonight at 10pm, and said that Carlos and I would just have to avoid each other around the store. She asked me what times I wanted to go on stage this weekend, and I said as long as I got on before Carlos I didn’t care. I said thank you, and hung up. Then I get a call from Tommy the manager of the club an hour later. He told me that “they” had decided I needed to “take a break” from the store, and that Carlos was physically threatened by me, and worried about me being around. That, and they’re upset at me for putting the video up on the internet because they had asked me to stop filming my internet reality show “the JoeShow” at the club."
not only that - but Ned and Joe Rogan were represented by the same guy (agent) and the agent dropped Joe yesterday because he refused to goet on some gay ass 3 way phone conferance and apologize to Mencia.

The OLD Mencia was funny. The commercial Mencia sucks. I've seen him at comedy clubs twice. He WAS raw. He's honduran/hungarian or something. him.

Personally I think it's pretty cool that we've come to a point where someone can have success while actually trying to be more Latin American rather than less.
There have been a lot of people, not only entertainers, or even Latin American, who have changed their names to sound more American, so it's nice that things have finally turned the other way.
For example: Immigrants who remove the ending of their name to sound more American, or for example, Richie Valens....

And it's not like he's white, he's half Honduran and was born there as well, and as far as I know his real name is Ned Arnel Mencia (his mothers last name) so good for him that he changed his first name to further his career.

Isn't the only reason he adopted a Hispanic name rather than a European one is to bank off that fake Latino accent shtick he does? I mean typically, garnering success off adopting a 'non-American' names is based off the use of that heritage in some kind of caricature, like Mencia does.

PM5K, so you think he'd have changed his name to Carlos even if he didn't become a comedian whose only shtick has been his "insight" to the mexican culture and what not. He finally got smart enough to just call himself a instead of a so he never had to come up front about what actual nationality he is.
