This at ude did cost them the championship.

    One word-"choking".

I guess AJ still has to school them on this. Dallas is mighty powerful, but invincible? No, give me a break!
Yeah but at the same time the rookies almost gave the game away.

jj and ager came into the game playing with croshere and maybe 1-2 starters...that's what gave up the lead sometime between 8-4 minutes left in the game. besides, after the two flagrants to the head and jho's near injury why play so hard at the very end and risk injury when the game doesn't really matter much?

In the end all that matters is this

    Mavs -112

    Heat - 100

miami's scrubs get playing time on a regular basis, mavs scrubs don't and they are all rookies, not scrubs with 2-3 years of experience in the league...chris quinn is the only rookie on the heat roster, not so with the mavs...so yes, some miami scrubs are better than our scrubs

    Nice win, Dallas.

There is little doubt in my mind that even if Wade is playing, Dallas would have trounced Miami anyway, BUT, there's this feeling that the Mav's still chokes a lot. Don't get me wrong, next to the Spurs, the Mavs is my team, but they have way to go to sharpen that killer's instinct of not relinquishing a big lead especially to a sucker, haymaker punch of a desperate team. Shades of Championship game 3, right?

    Anyway, congrats.

They just check out mentally. If they're capable of pulling wins out of their ass after trailing for a whole game (Bucks last week, for example), they're fully capable of keeping a huge lead. They just don't seem to care.

i see your point and I agree to some extent that they need to keep the pressure up but i don't think JJ and Ager and Croshere would be getting all those minutes to give up the lead in a championship game, shorter rotation.

Those wins are so much more impressive IMO, the way they come from behind and just lay it down is awesome!

That's what's scary with Dallas. Sometimes they play like the Pistons of Larry Brown. They think they have a "switch". They have their lackadaisical at ude, but at the the brink of losses, they seem to flick the "switch" and pull their collective brains out of their anuses. But they must realize that the "switch" doesn't always work in the playoffs. (Refer to last year's Detroit vs. Miami)

Agree, it is impressive. The Spurs used to win a lot of those games in the past . But what's disturbing is how Dallas gives up a big lead to give their opponent a chance to upset them. The 2-0 lead was the best example. Albeit, that was a year ago, I hope that Dallas has improved mentally.

Very true. It's also a good idea to have a championship or two under your belt before even having a "switch". I've never seen a team play so ineptly against a full court press (starters too, not just our ty in' rookies). Hopefully Avery gets on their ass.

^^ Though you agree with me, and I also root for the Mavs, for the record:

    THE MAVS!

There, I said it. Makes me feel much better.

That puss Dirk will never win MVP
He will win it but he will never be up there in history with the likes of Duncan and Shaq.

JJB and Ager needs to work on their defense. But Croshere just frustrates me. I was pissed off last night from his play. He comes in and there's a brickfest with him. He missed two wide open shots. Ager would have had a couple assists if he made them. Devean George needs to hurry back so he can go back to the end of the bench again.

I fell asleep in the 2nd quarter and woke up during Inside the NBA... surprised the Heat made it to 100, since they only had 28 when I passed out...

I know it was only a few minutes of one game, but Maurice Ager looked like a guy that didn't belong in the NBA. I have high hopes for this guy, but he's got a LOAD of work ahead of him.

If Avery hadn't pulled the starters people would be ripping him for running up the score...

The 4th quarter was a joke and the game was never in doubt. I can't believe people are actually caring anything about the 4th quarter... Wow...

if i'm not mistaken, anyone watching this game fell asleep after tip-off so i doubt the fourth quarter had any viewers at all.
