I swear to god perception is always reality for people who don't bother to do any research. These idiot announcers are talking about Beno's struggles and one of them says, "I remember him struggling handling the basketball in last year's playoffs."

Dude barely played last year in the playoffs outside of Game 3 at Sac. They're still fixated by his struggles against Lindsay Hunter. Just like Horry worshippers cling to the "big shot" stuff and forget the first 47 minutes of every playoff game.

Uh wrong, he played in games 3 and 4 in Sacramento and sucked .

    Big time.

So once again, your the one who should do the research there skippy.

    Quit embarassing yourself.

I just fail to understand how you're expecting miracles from a .360 shooter.

I mean honestly, tell me what you're expecting for Horry to contribute in an average playoff game.

Minutes, shots, points, rebounds, you name it.
Because he has come up big when it counts. Beno has only hit one big shot against a ty Portland team during the regular season.

    He's in his early 50's.
He's 41, a whole five years older than one Robert Horry. And I'm willing to bet still a lot faster.

    25 minutes

    8 points 5 rebounds.

3 of 7 shooting. on average.

More than likely more shots and more points averaged.

Melvin Ely, man whatever hes not done to be on the roster, I wish he would've done.

6 and 5 in the limited time he got out there.

THIS, is what we envisioned when they traded for him.

He didn't play because he sucks.

He didn't suck last year. He was quite good for a backup. Look at the numbers instead of just throwing out there.

Too bad he couldn't hit a three when the game was on the line.

His gem at the end of the year in houston is what sealed his fate.

4 turnovers in darn near 2 minute stretch to damn near choke away a 63 win season.

Watch the game instead of reading stats .

    You should do the same.

Just look at rings. Compare Horry's rings to Beno's rings. How many of Horry's rings did he have major contributions? 6? Yeah I think it's six. Beno fell ass backwards into 1.

    25 minutes average, that's rich.

Dude hasn't played 25 minutes even once in this calender year.

Think more like 12 minutes, 2 of 6 shooting, 5 points, 4 rebounds.

Hmm. I'm remembering a LOT more than one shot. I almost shredded my Horry jersey from "popping" every time he hit a shot in that game. I think it was like 19 points from the last few seconds of the 3rd to the buzzer. I'm pretty sure he pulled that game out of his ass almost alone, and put himself in the position to hit the game winner. He sucked that regular season too.

edit: it was 21 points from the 1 second mark of the 3rd to the end of OT.

Is Beno drunk? He can't catch a pass and is hitting the side of the backboard on free throws.

Butler has more quality post moves in the last six quarters than Elson and Oberto had all season.

White coming a little back down to earth offensively, but defensively he's still looking sharp.

Beno > Horry, according to Stampler.

    HEY TIMVP.

How did Ely look? His numbers and ESPN Gamecast were showing favorably for him.

You sure are in love with the word " ." Along with hate, sucks, and pussy that's like a quarter of your vocabulary. I bet parents just love to hear you around their young ones. What should I expect from a carney who doesn't know the difference between "your" and "you're," right?

"Watch the games," this coming from the Gamecast Commando.

Now you're trying to tell me that game 82 of the regular season when we had nothing to play for except some artificial team win record that means nothing is more important than the Portland game this year where we were still in the hunt for the 2 seed. If game 82 was so important last year, how come Pop wasn't playing his starters going for it?

Pop ruined Beno's confidence forever last year by playing a complete reject has been in Van Exel over him. NVE was DONE. I hope he doesn't repeat the mistake this year with trusting Horry too much when a younger, more energetic option like Bonner is available.

I believe it was 21 points.

Oh and 15 in Game 7.
