    The Salt Lake Tribune
Article Last Updated: 05/09/2007 07:11:46 PM MDT

Posted: 7:02 PM- Jazz guard Derek Fisher, who left the team before Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals, has been dealing with the discovery of a tumor between the eye and brain of his less than year-old daughter, The Salt Lake Tribune has learned.

Fisher was flying back to Salt Lake City and was placed on the active roster for Game 2 against the Golden State Warriors. The veteran guard was not expected to arrive in time for tipoff but all indications were that he would play.

The Jazz had excused Fisher for personal reasons from Monday's Game 1, Tuesday's practice and Wednesday's shootaround. Sources told the Tribune about Fisher's daughter's medical situation on condition of anonymity to respect Fisher's privacy.

Fisher is married and has four children, including infant twins Drew and Tatum. He originally learned about the situation last week, when he was excused from a shootaround, but said then he was waiting for all the information before discussing it publicly.

especially with Nellie running all of the possible zones you can run in a basketball game.

It's hilarious watching Boozer after the ball is stolen from him. It's like someone stole his favorite toy.

when your best defensive play is slapping on defense, you aren't exactly going to get calls go your way. But SJAX has been robbed this whole series. He's not getting any calls.
