San Antonio is out of tornado alley and away from the oil industry. It's the best part of Texas. And dude, Austin is like right there. It's a great place to live.
San Antonio: one of the top tourist destinations in the U.S. Beautiful city, wonderful people, great food, clean river... oh, and best NBA team.

I kinda hear what you are getting at. I miss old restaurants like First Mate, Griff's Burger Bar and stores like Gibson's, Centeno's and Handy Andy. San Antonio always had a uniqueness to it, but I guess times have changed.Love or hate Dallas...that's pretty funny.
I've never liked Dallas too much myself. Too much asphalt. It's a place to work and shop. But, city has no Soul, imho.
San Antonio? Well... Lived here for 35 years. Finally gotten to the point, where I want to leave. Everything North of 1604, might as well be Dallas. Everything South of 1604, is under construction.
New Braunfels, San Marcus, Wimberly, Comfort, Bandera, Fredericksburg...seem to suit me better these days.
Must be that "getting older" thing, but SA is becoming annoying.

I still pine for Pete's Place out in San Geronimo, but it's been closed for 20 years. Also KKYX used to have their studios in a shack way out on Bandera Road before they went supercorporate.

I am not gonna hate on the foreign fans. I'm am glad they are fans of the Spurs. But you don't have to say thinkgs like " texas" I can usually tell who a foreign fan is anyway because I just gotta read the "Manu isn't starting wtf!?" threads. or the "Tony hates Manu he doens't pass to him ever" threads. These are fans from Argentina.

never been there before but can't you love the spurs without loving Texas?
