I am willing to bet that the movie will be called 'Overnight' but wouldn't it be ing insane if it was rated R just for the shear intensity of it that alone would make this be the best big monster movie
post 497 is very thought provoking too.

that would be sweet but there's no way they let it get rated R, with all the anticipation they gotta maximize the $ and get it to PG-13.
slusho.org seems to think it is a remake of The Beast. Also, anti-christ.com
"Romans 1:18 - For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all."
So you could use that as a thought to with it being released on 1-18.
Heaven's wrath?
Sad but face is spot on. That's why I still believe no matter how fun it is to find stuff out about this movie and get hyped about it, it will still be a total total letdown once I give up my 8 dollars.
This just goes to show that human nature is to try to dig in to find out everything about anything that seems to be a mystery. Other than the urge to sleep, eat, drink, or have sex, this may be the strongest common human urge that rattles around in our brains. If you want to get someone's attention... give them a glimpse of something that piques their interest and then don't tell them the whole story. Make them guess and rack their brains, and they'll never leave you alone about it. This is the entire reason the Blair Witch movie made millions upon millions of dollars. This is also a really good way for a female to keep a male interested... and vice versa
Rumor has it these are viral marketing videos for this movie.

Anymore word on this movie? I haven't heard not one thing about Abrams movie ever since the summer. Maybe too much hype too soon!
There are apparently myspaces for each of the fictional characters in the movie last I heard.
Abrams is busy casting his Star Trek reboot too.
Okay guys, i've seen this confirmed on a load of sites.

Way late, but bleh.![]()
Apparently we will see a glimpse of the "creature." I'm still holding out hope for a better le even the guy from CHUD said it could possibly be "Cloverfield" just for the test audiences to conceal the true name of the film. We'll see...![]()
i actually think the "keep 'em waiting on the le" strategy has backfired big time. At this point, it doesn't matter what the le of the movie is, people are going to say "omfg we waited this long and THAT is what the in movie is called??!?!?!"
i say they should just stick with Cloverfield since that's what everybody already knows it as. Even if it makes no sense to the movie.
It will![]()
Cloverfield was mentioned as the name I think some where in the first part of this thread.
Eh...the quality looks pretty decent in the beginning but, you can't see anything iin the dark (nighttime?) shots. The official trailer debut will be out on Monday, I think I will wait for that since apparently there is a quick shot of the "creature" to watch out for.
So does anyone know what the monster is? In the new trailer you can see shadows of it near the 1:10 mark. At least I think.
I've heard some say it "glows" chances are it's radioactive or somehow infectious at least from the looks of the victim in these news pics.

All are pretty uninteresting pics but, they do give some idea of what may be going on to these people during the course of the movie.
Those pics also lead me to believe the entire movie may not be shot with just the shakey camcorder. I can only hope.
