any Cowboys' fan thinking they will go beyond 10-6. They suck. Tony Romo is terrible, they have no running game and their D is overrated at bestl
So they're playing 17 games now?

and your team is who? Better be somebody relevant to the Cowboys. That means, and NFC East fan, or a team that has won 3 or more superbowls and is currently relevant now. So who is your team now?
Why would I not think the team I root for would be successful? If Romo can put together a solid year I dont see any reason why thye couldnt win 11 games. As far as Romo, he gave as much indication that he could be great as he showed that he might suck, so you saying Romo is terrible is just hate towards a player you probably dont like.
And the rushing game was 13th last year in yards per game, and 3rd in rushing tds, so Im not to sure if your assesment on their running game is completely accurate either
mabye if we got to play the Texans every week![]()
well then they're morons. dont link us all into that boat.
Colts fan AND Spurs fan
how are your Florida Gators looking this season?![]()
Oh he's a Texan fan. His team couldn't be more irrelevant. Little brother always likes to talk . Tell the little pest to move on.
Yeah if Red Sox win the Series this year I'll hit for the cycle in NFL/NCAA/NBA/MLB. hockey though I couldn't give two s which team won that.
I'm not really a Gators fan so much as I'm not a Buckeyes fan, so I rooted for Florida by default in both NCAA championship games this year...but hey, I'll take it.
Kind of like how my dad roots for Miami in the season and then in the playoffs he roots for New England to lose because his team can't get over the fact that they will never replace Marino.
Julius Jones and Marion Barber >>>>>>>>> The 50 RBs Houston has on roster
god talk about the bandwagon. Sounds like you don't have a spine. Sports teams are located in different cities so you can cheer for your city's teams to do well. You seem to just be a big fan of whoever wins.
If that somehow is a jab at me, I'll be the first to admit they suck. I'm not too worried about it either. My step dad played 13 years for them and still holds a few team records, so I have ample reason for following them even though they suck.

My closest friends and I have been Dallas fans since birth (we are all in our mid to upper 30's) and if a Cowboys fan had said that to us, we would have kicked them in the teeth. We really won the SB because we beat the Colts in the season YEAH!"
I can't stand when people do that. There is no such thing as "we really won" or "We're the real champs" or the asterisk talk.
In sports, its you win or you lose period. Winning is great and losing sucks but that is what makes sport unique and special. Its further proof that sportsmanship is on its last legs these days.
Not a jab, just truly wondering how that team will do? What are local papers saying? I have an intrest as a Cowboys fan because the Cowboys own the Browns #1 next year.
I'm from San Antonio so I grew up with the only local team being the Spurs. And because I'm such a huge Spurs fan, I have a deep-seated hate of other Texas sports cities because I hate the Mavericks and Rockets. So I can't see myself ever cheering for Cowboys/Rangers or Texans/Astros. Though Houston really doesn't bother me as much as Dallas does. I really really really cannot stand that city and their fans.
I never understood why people go on their period when you root for an out of state team. I was a Colts fan well before they ever tasted a conference championship game let alone the SB. And I like most of the players on the Sox so that's why I like them. If San Antonio was able to negotiate to get an NFL or MLB expansion team I would instantly make those teams my favorite because SA is home to me.
And on the contrary, I have actually vacationed in Indianapolis and Boston a few times. I've walked on the field at the RCA Dome, and been to home games for both the Sox and Colts. There is a big difference between a bandwagoner and a fan, and I'm a fan.
It's hard to figure out what Browns fans think. Everyone is happy that the pieces for the future are starting to fall in the Browns' favor, which in the past was unheard of. But I think that most fans would consider 6-8 wins a sucess. Yeah, you get the normal homerism from the news and papers that expect them to win the Super Bowl, but in reality, I think they will go 6-10 or 7-9. That would give you a top 15 pick. I do not think though that they will be terrible giving the Cowboys a top 5. They were in every game last year except one to the Steelers and one to the Bengals. They were very close to winning 7-8 games last year, and I don't see any signs that they got worse over the off season. So look for a pick in the 9-14 range.
That trade is a win-win though becuase if the Browns did have a top 10 pick in 2008 that would stem from another bad season in 2007, which would mean that Charlie Frye is not the guy (which I'm sure he isn't). So in 2008 they would need to draft a QB. Brohm would probably go first to someone who will be worse than the Browns (assuming there is a team). So the Browns would have to choose from a handfull of other mediocre QBs. So with Quinn they got a top 10 talent, who is arguably better than all but one in the 2008 draft. I mean your next pick after Brian Brohm would be Chad Henne, who like Quinn, has never won a bowl game (or beaten Ohio St.), but unlike Quinn had tons of talent around him to help his chances of winning a bowl game.

Right now is Frye the starting QB, with Quinn probably taking over by mid season or something like that?
No offense but I kind of hope they tank. Like you said, I think they can go 7-9, but I think they also have it in them to go 3-13, but I think somethere in between. Im guessing 5-11 or 6-10 due to offensive inconsistancy. I think the real strides for the Browns will be the following year if they can get their defense in gear.
They are starting with a new offensive system this year.
Which means that it doesn't matter who starts at QB.
They are going to suck.
We're going to have a Top 5 pick.
Darren McFadden will be a Cowboy.
The QB situation is wide open between the 3, so it could be anyone starting come opening day. I think it will be Frye. The line has bettered itself by 100% with Steinbach, Thomas and Bentley coming back. I think it will give the QB, whoever it is, more time to get the ball to Edwards and Winslow. Jamal Lewis is old, and won't be great, but he will be good if the line pans out. Their defense isn't that bad. They had secondary injury problems last year, but also had huge production from their linebackers and safties. Sean Jones should have been a pro bowler last year, and probably will be this year. Wimbley is very good, Leigh Bodden is good also. The Browns' special teams is top 5-6 in the league. All in all, I don't expect them to win more than .500, but they could suprise people.
Brutalis would stroke out if that happened.Darren McFadden will be a Cowboy.
I would be ok with it though. (McFadden in Dallas, not Brut blowing a vessel)![]()
the Spurs off-season pick-up football team in the SuperBowl (Broncos win the AFC though).
Ah but who is the QB? Vinnie? I think Tony is friggin RB. Tim is the D-line...
.................?
What if Julius has an 1800 yard 19 touchdown type of season and Marion backs him running close to 1000 yards and having as many touchdowns as last season?
Jerry Jones has a hard on for McFaden.
And, it looks like they're not too happy with Julius because of his durability issues.
I don't think Julius will get that many yards anyway because he's going to be sharing the load with Barber all season. They're are probably going with a true Pro-set offense anyway or a close hybrid of the Saints offense from last year.
