Get with it Evan!! Homeboy has an excuse for everything...![]()
The Contender...![]()
Evan,
TUF 5 ratings were lower than the contender ratings you site.
You have me on your ignore list. WHat a puss.
Put Boxing's top fighters on free TV and see what happens. There would be a freakin blackout across the country.
In all fairness were talking about the free fight from this weekend here and someone brought up those ratings to compare the contender.
But to get sucked in….TUF 5 ratings were not that great have nothing to do with this argument. But, indeed they were lower. Off the top of my head I think they wen't from a 1.6 to a 1.0 up and down all season between that high and low. But we must also consider were comparing eTV to ESPN. ESPN is in many many more homes and is much more established. Relatively, TUF season 5 still wins.
They need to quit having so many seasons. Its too much. This next season will do much better hopefully.
Put The Contender on e and The Ultimate Fighter on ESPN and see how close they end up...![]()
you just proved my point. Most people don't consider UFC enough of a sport to be on those channels.
Can wait to see the PPV numbers for the end of this year. I bet boxing doubles MMA.
MMA needs more Rampage Jacksons to reach the levels of popularity you hope. Otherwise, the strategy will always be to talk down other sports.
If the UFC had as few fights as Boxing, same thing. You must think of all of this in relative terms to the quanity of events going on.
And if they switched networks like LEONARD stated.......TUF would dominate.
even from leonards link, last year boxing had 7 major ppv events compared to 9 for UFC. This year the differential will be about the same. Boxing still has Pacquiao vs Barrera, Cotto vs Mosley and Vargas vs Mayorga. All should eclipse 500k PPV buys with 700k on the high side. Plus, the live gate money should be huge for all three fights.
Ok, if were comparing Boxing in general you then need to take in all MMA. That number changes greatly.
All MMA equals UFC at this point. Per Dana White all the other MMA organizations are losing money out the gazoo.
Um, no.
If your throwing out comments like that I am done on this topic.
Where is the power at in MMA? What organization is producing the Revenue?
haha is this guy really trying to argue boxing > MMA?
Your sport is inferior and boring. Boxing is broken.
present the facts. Boxing generates more revenue and more fan support. MMA caters to white young guys who think they know everything, so it's no surpirse you would think your opinion is fact.
I think you should present the facts that all these other organizations are losing money. You are thinking your opinion is fact. I can opine all day about how I believe that boxing generates less money than MMA all day long.
Edit: For 2006, show me live gate and ppv sales for boxing.
UFC 75 replays Friday at 8:00 CT on e
Do you ever go to leonards links? The most recent Dana White interview talked about how all the other organizations sucked and lose money. Also, a quick google search will show you 2006 numbers. btw, it's almost 2008 and boxing numbers are kicking the living crap out of UFC since your fad year.![]()
Thanks. You proved you're an idiot. What boxing numbers are kicking the crap out of UFC? You say it, but i'm not seeing any proof. Go troll somewhere else.
LOL...damn people, stop quoting this guy so I don't have to see what he's spewing...
Dana is the authority on non-UFC org's now?
It's almost 2008? Ok...and it's been just 9 months since the 2006 "fad" numbers came out...how about you wait another 3 or 4 months for the 2007 numbers before you start talking about 2008? And I too am curious what you're basing your statements on. How do you know how much PPV $ the UFC has pulled in?? Or boxing for that matter??
You said boxing will double the UFC this year too...I won't forget that...it's bookmarked...![]()
