i'd agree with this. ms-13 is by far one of the most violent and brutal gangs i've ever heard of.

In the 90's though, it was horrible. There was so so much killing. I coached inner city boys basketball (14-17 year old range) for five years. Players had to leave their guns in a box outside the door before coming on the court And we'd lose players by the week because they'd get killed on the street. It was horrible.

The 90's were nuts. That was the heyday of eastcoast/westcoast Tupac Westside Connection . Gang's were being glorified on MTV music videos daily. Looking back on it, I can't believe they aired that .

Lots of gangs stopped showing their colors so much because they were getting picked up to easily by the cops -

There was also a big public "truce" back when I was in high school, but it was bull .

That "truce" is still going on for the original bloods/crips. Most of the kids claiming either/or these days isn't actually affiliated. This is ironic, but these kids are giving the bloods/crips a bad name.

Most of the gang related crimes I saw on the news in the four years I lived there related to Hispanics.

I haven't lived there since I graduated high school, but was in touch with several people until a couple of years ago.

And I grew up in what could be affectionately known as "the hood."

You look at the styles of these caps and it's the flat bill, "gangsta" look that nobody but hood rats and wannabe's wear. That was so obvious in it's intent, especially the gold crown. The Latin Kings should sue them for logo enfringement it's so obvious.

If I was the Yankees I'd be pissed off that my storied franchise is being tied in with such obvious gang targeted merchandise. Putting that Yankee symbol with the gold crown is basically saying that the New York Yankees endorse the Latin Kings and everything for which they stand. That's ed up.
