Wow! I had wondered what that song in that commercial was from...it'd be awesome for starting lineups! Almost makes up for them getting rid of the Spurs CLASSIC song...sorry, I'm the only one who still likes it.

They used "The Game" by Motorhead on Sat. night, which is also the intro music for Triple H. But I have been told nothing is set in stone and they are still trying different songs, etc.

If you're going to go there, why not just use Motorhead's "Ace of Spades"?

You could start the prelims with the "Imperial March" from Star Wars, then when the first player hits the floor, cut to the opening riff of "Ace of Spades."

Tell me that wouldn't be intense...

If they get rid of "Get Ready for This (Y'All Ready for This)," I hope they play up the "bad guys" image. This would be fun for a change, anyway.

Have received final word from people in the know that the new intro song won't be anything anyone's ever heard before. It's going to be a custom-made song. Kinda like when radio and TV stations get companies to create music for their "branding." ESPN themes, NBA on NBC themes, etc., those are all created by companies for those networks. The new Spurs starting lineup (from what I understand) will be created by a composer who does stuff like that.
