yeah, the win was good but the season is early.
Don't count on your postseason victory should the spurs play the rockets.....
Don't get too excited couse of a W. In playoffs it will be a different story, you can count on that.

Don't even compare the 2. LeBron's head was on the rim, plus he dunked on arguably the best player in the league and a great shot blocker.
Yao is 7'6" and gets blocked by players that are 5'6".
Speaking of beat downs, you should simply hope and pray that your Rockettes can get past the first round of the playoffs.
The whole about this dunk is the previous play where we played the ball horrendously and lost it and manu stole it from a bad pass from Yao and dunk on his face. It was beautiful.
LOL Keep the trash talking comin...it's hilarious. See ya in San Antonio next time.![]()
it was #1 play on NBA TV daily....
Um, Duncan didn't jump and was out of position, so he just stood there with his hands in the air while a guy two inches shorter than he is threw it down with a full head of steam. Manu dunked from both feet on a guy a foot taller than he is who jumped to block the shot and fouled him in the process.
I agree that the two dunks shouldn't be compared because Manu's was much better.
Duncan was there in plenty of time. He knew he wasn't jumping with LeBron, or he would have gotten posterized even worse than he already had.
Fact remains: Yao got blocked by a player 5'6"; is slow, unathletic and a bad defender. LeBron posterized Duncan. LeBron: the easy winner. Thanks.
who is the biggest shot blocker, Tim or Yao ?
let's check it out :

"easy winner" : YAO.
Manu dunked on a SUPERIOR shot blocker.
End of discussion.
Wow.
Manu circa 2004-2005 is back !!!
gg @ casual fan
By your theory, Shawn Bradley is a better shot-blocker than the following players:
Hakeem Olajuwon
Bill Russell
Dikembe Mutombo
man, fact are facts.
The better shot blocker will get more shots block per game.
get it?![]()
second that^
Reading people's minds and putting in "would haves" is lame. Let me make this simple for you, as you have obviously never played basketball and are easily dazzled by ESPN highlights:
Dunking when you have a 44" vertical and a head of steam on a guy 3 inches taller than you who doesn't jump = easy.
Dunking on a guy 13 inches taller than you who jumps and hits you in the face when you have two steps and jump off both feet = difficult.
You do realize that even if Yao doesn't jump his hands go ten inches higher than Duncan's do, right?
Authority.![]()
I don't get where people are saying Manu dunk off of 2 feet.
yeah, and his head was even w/ the top off the glass too![]()
I don't know Yao's actual vertical. My point was even though he is 7'6, there are clearly some dudes much shorter that can clearly outjump the difference in height. This is why he gets dunked on say every other game....
Yao jumped up, and can't jump as high as Manu (which is obvious, watch the replay again). He is already standing under the basket. Manu is coming at him with a full head of steam and jumped towards the goal. Yao did not jump towards him...he just jumped up. And again, Manu clearly can get up higher than Yao can even though Yao is clearly taller.
If you put Yao and Duncan side by side and say jump Duncan will get up higher than Yao. This is one of the reasons Yao rarely wins a jumpball...one of the reasons he gets dunked on so much in a league full of athletic cats that can jump. When it comes to jumping/blocking dunks his height isn't that much of an advantage because I would say 60% of the league can get up higher than he can.
yeah, didn't we lose that game? Nash and James can have all the highlights for all I care, give me the W's.
