Finley and NVE were vets Pop expected out of them what they had to offer and not improve. Pop was HARD AS ON TP when he was a rook and hard on Manu as well.
I'm new here got a link?

This is about as much embarrassment as I've felt being a Spurs fan. If every single one of those guys who played tonight in black aren't completely and utterly ashamed for letting that happen then they're in deep, deep this season. They didn't even compete. Against the one er in the league that they should have the utmost motivation to destroy. I can't even look at my championship gear at this moment...
Hey...ask all the dudes in D-League 1 why I picked his worthless butt up and started him if I didn't think he would do this when getting minutes.
Menkge Bateer could have put up 27 if he was getting 35 minutes a game...it's not hard if you get minutes.
His talent is not the problem...
You never stop dude wanna be my friend?![]()
I guess I'll keep my "Stephen Jackson was great at taking care of the ball" comments to myself right now. They should stick to revising one player's history at a time.
Yeah, because Nazr didn't start for a championship team. Funny how the Spurs couldn't get out of a semifinal series without him, despite home court advantage. I guess that's all on Parker's thigh or Manu's foul, or maybe it was the officials.
Go the away, princess. This is a family discussion.
He was effective against Detroit, and I was vehemently against Small Ball vs. the Mavs, but saying that Nazr knew the defense doesn't strengthen your argument. He was out of position a lot.
Dude, he dropped 27. If you drop 27 against anyone in an NBA game, you are really good, or you should run to stop and go and buy some lottery cards.
I am amazed that somebody in black and silver didn't stop his ass.
I just don't see him doing that again, no matter how many minutes he gets, , he would be better than Tony Parker...
Pop gave NVE the whole ing year...give me a break.
So what if Pop was "hard as " on TP...the POINT is, he STILL PLAYED. Pop was "hard as ?" Why cause he yelled at him?

That <> he knew the defenseYeah, because Nazr didn't start for a championship team.Yeah, we never got to the finals ever again.Funny how the Spurs couldn't get out of a semifinal series without him, despite home court advantage.
Nazr's defense wasn't as a big as a problem that people are making it out to be.
ReallyThey're almost as bad as the Scola nut holders on here! They both tried to go ape against the team that traded them. Big deal! It's no secret that in a 7 game series "party boy" would either fall prey to the trap or sit out the series for an ingrown toenail! When players do that, it only shows the in you! I could see if he was traded to PHX or Dal, but SAC????? Their season stops in April so bottom line, all he did was give himself a good reason to go home and oil himself up and parade around in front of his gentleman "friend" with a pair of heels and a cheetah print thong on. The words Beno and are synonyms.
w'up lost something?
Never thought you and I would agree on something- but Beno basically said, "Bite me" to the Spurs, and no one did anything about it.
It was bigger.
I cussed Beno'swork ethic constantly when he was here. But, he's starting to convince me that he can be a solid player at this level. When he gets familiar with the King's system and with his teammates, he just might be a minor force. He may never have been a Spurs kind of player re: toughness, work ethic, etc.....but he threw up, what? 27 points against that "terrible" Spurs defense? He doesn't look like a scrub, is all I'm saying. In fact, he looks better than a few other staring points around the league right now, after only a few weeks with his team.
And he knew the defense a thousand mother ing times better than Finley or Oberto did, and you know it, but Pop wouldn't put him in, even when Horry and Timmy were in foul trouble.
Don't be ing obtuse; it's beneath you.
I choose B, in this case.Dude, he dropped 27. If you drop 27 against anyone in an NBA game, you are really good, or you should run to stop and go and buy some lottery cards.
Willie Burton once scored 53 points. He wasn't really good. At all.
LMAO at the Nazr comments...
wtf does this have to do with anything?![]()
That's how little Beno matters to them
He was tough on TP and Manu to grow and become better because they had raw talent to become SKILLFUL players, same case for Beno. The reason TP played was because:
A) He wasn't injured all the time.
B) He would take the abuse, get back in and work on his game
C) He should dedication and commitment
Same for Manu.
The reason Pop wasn't tough on NVE and Finley was because they couldn't improve anymore skillwise they were past their prime.
By the way, in a weird way I'm glad that Beno went off and the Spurs lost.
I told LJ last night that I was sick of the Spurs winning - it was getting boring this early in the season. And the team was playing poorly and winning. Maybe if they get a few losses under their belt, they will be more apt to work on improving the D.
Plus, Spurs fans have had very little to complain about this year. Now people can think that Beno is the big fish that got away and about it for a few weeks. , I still about Stephen Jackson years later. So have at it Spurs fans.
They were thinking he was a hack who sucks and he does.
