Het Ruff did you mean Solo? Or is there a movie called Sala? I know I couldn't finish watching Mario Van Peebles as Solo either...

Jim, you just don't get that movie. It's not at all.
One of only 3 movies that I have walked out in in my life. Magnolia blows. To Die For is another that I walked out on. Coincidence that Nicole Kidman starred in one and Tom Cruise in the other...then they get married.

Well, Magnolia is an incredibly powerful movie IMHO, although it does seem to engender either love or hate from viewers. For mine, great script, great performances, great music, great message. Anyway, each to his own. I just think "worst" implies "lack of quality", and that movie did not lack for quality, although I completely accept that you hated it.

Florige - no, I meant this horrific thing:

I know two people who actually sat through the whole thing, but wished they didn't.

elpimpo - "I approve of the fact that my government takes biological samples of myself whenever it damn well feels like it." WTF? I never said anything of the sort.

Are you referring to my support of driver alcohol random breath testing? That's a long way from "taking biological samples", it's BREATH, and it's not "whenever it damn well feels like it", it's when driving - ie. when I choose to participate in the social contract of responsible behaviour when in charge of a vehicle.

WTF does it have to do with this thread?

C'mon people, the le of this thread is not "movies you don't like", it's the WORST movie you've seen. You may not like Syriana and Magnolia and Crash, but by no criteria can they be judged amongst the WORST movies you've seen, surely? Worst implies REALLY BAD, C-grade, poorly executed in some way, and whilst unenjoyable to some, the aforementioned movies were all well made.

Now, Death Race 2000 or Salo could be counted amongst the WORST movies out there, with the Highlander sequels close behind.
uhhh, the only reason REALLY REALLY ty movies get made is because people like you watch them. You illustrate that point with Death Race 2000 and Salo. This thread is about WORST movies that people have actually seen.

In the late 80's some buddies wanted to go see a movie one afternoon, so we loaded into one guy's car and went to the Dollar Cinema where all of us s ed out $1 to see a Hulk Hogan cinematic tour de force: No Holds Barred. There were five of us in the theater, me, my two friends, and two other guys who were emulating wrestling moves throughout the movie (or were getting it on, I wasn't really sure).

I may have topped that a few years later when I joined a group of aspiring lawyers who wanted to see the Paulie Shore masterpiece, Biodome.

Finally, a few years back, a friend of mine and his girlfriend thought that a great way to introduce me to a young lady friend of theirs was to have us all go see a movie; they advised me of that as they picked me up and when we got to the theater, I was told we were going to see a film that is, at the same time, the anchor on Julianne Moore's career while remaining among David Duchovny's best efforts: Evolution.

I have actually spent my own money on those three classics (in one case, to buy not just one ticket), and I (by virtue of the carpooling issue) actually sat through all three of them.

I think that movie was made for the express purpose of getting as many Brat Packers on the screen at one time as they could.

My worst movie was a ditty released in like 1984 or 1985 en led Voyage of the Rock Aliens. I walked out.

    Last of the Mohicans...

My girlfriend told me it was a great movie...one of the best ever.
We went and saw it...I fell asleep.

My best friend and his girlfriend told me I was crazy for not thinking that was one of the best movies ever...we went saw it...I fell asleep again.

My ex-wife said it was a great movie and told me I had to watch it when I was wide awake so I could see what a truly great movie it was...

We went and rented it...I fell asleep yet again.

I have insominia, I have extremely low standards when it comes to bad movies. The list of movies I've fallen asleep while watching is a short one...the list of movies I've fallen asleep during in the theater is one, that one. The fact that I did it twice, the fact that I've done it 3 times including once when I was wide awake......and perhaps one other time when it was on TV...

That movie sucks and has to be the worst movie ever made. I can't say for certain it's the worst, because I've still never seen anything after the first 30 minutes of it...but from what I've seen, it sucks. The most boring movie in history.

I can't believe no one has mentioned this one so far. What about Eyes Wide Shut with Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman? Maybe everyone is trying to block it from their memories or something. At least half of the movie got up and walked out! My friends and I would have followed but we were laughing so hard we decided to stick around and make fun of it.

Absolutely, positively the worst movie ever!

Transformers has got to be one of the crappiest movies ever, but even worse than that is a movie called Lowrider Weekend (if you don't belive me rent it).

Howard the Duck gets a dishonorable mention as one of the worst movies ever.
