The thing is the Rockets could win every single game from now to the playoffs and I still wouldn't pick them to get out of the 2nd round.
25-4 this year. all 4 losses (boston, nola, philly, utah) happened with either yao or t-mac out. oh what could have been...
but also those losses came without landry and scola being as developed as they are now and without the team chemistry that exists now. they didn't really start to develop this chemistry until about the last 10 games.
anyhow...mavs are next. i want to see the rockets destroy them.

The Rockets have a wonderful core and I think they will definitely make a splash next season with a healthy Yao. Without Yao I think it's going to be very tough to win 7 game series.

I agree, it is going to take the right matchup for the Rockets to make noise in the playoffs.....unless this chemistry they have carries on through the rest of the year.....they are on an amazing run with different players stepping up each and every night.

Man I am really impressed with the Rockets right now, whether some wins came against bad teams or not, its still a 16 game winning streak. I honestly saw them losing tomorrow to the Mavs, but now that Dirk has been suspended I dont know. Kidd, Terry, and Howard will really have to step up. But either way the Rockets will come back down to earth soon, on Saturday they play the Hornets, maybe a possible loss. Then they play New Jersey, Atlanta, and Charlotte, seem like winnable games, and then they have a brutal stretch that looks like this:

the rockets are scary, they got two gems in scola and landry, they had the best draft pick by far this season, and i hope the spurs dont meet the rockets in the playoffs, because with Yao or not, they are playing the best team basketball by far atm. Man i hate landry, the rockets got really lucky with him, he looks like a chipmunk but he can ball.

Yes it is true, the team nearly beat the Jazz without Yao...and would have easily won that game if Yao didn't have the flu.
People around the NBA are just now noticing but the Rockets have been on fire since the beginning of 2008......and the primary reason for it is.....Luis Scola and Carl Landry.
