Congrats Jess! You'll be knitting some serious sweaters up there. You could start off with a couple of small ones for Manny's balls.
Oh, wow ... it's so sad that you guys are leaving, yet I'm very excited for you! Congratulations!

I predict Manny will be posting under a new ID
MannyIsCold
Congrats to Jess. Condolences to Manny's balls. I think y'all will enjoy yourselves up north. Don't forget Delicious Tamales can be FEDEX anywhere in the US. You will be missed but we will only be an email or a thread away.
Congrats, Jess. Michigan is an awesome school, and it was one of my first choices (for its awesome math program).
Boo ing hoo. You can't get a tiny studio in the ghetto out here for $800.
I don't get why you have to leave San Antonio doesn't SAC have all the classes anyone needs?
At least with the cold weather you two can spend more time cuddling!
Good Luck!![]()
The only thing dumber than people who live there that actually stay there, is people who don't live there that move there.
Awesome congrats BTW on being accepted, I hope you get to go to some of the football games. The stadium.atmosphere is amazing. GO BLUE!!!
Oh and no more Big Red, or Whataburger.
Good question....we should do that.WOW!
First samikeyp, now Manny and Jekka?
When's the first GTG?
Screw that state, i will never go back other than to visit family like once every other year. It's cold as , the economy is in the crapper, and people who live there are generally miserable, cranky, and depressed. However its a great state for Sportsfans.
My advice if you can get into another good school go there, anywhere but the suckhole that is Michigan.
I'll definitely go to see some of the football games while there. The environment must be incredible.
Youre an idiot. At least we figured out who mikejones99 is.
Congrats on the move. I live in Farmington Hills here. I came up here from SA for Engineering school (Kettering formerly GMI) and somehow got stuck with a job up here. I should be getting student season tickets for UM football so if you ever go to the games gimme a PM. Oh and you'll get tired of all the Pistons smack talk rather quick as well. Ace Deuce (Ann Arbor) is a really neat town, you will enjoy it. The Detroit Metro area is really neat and has plenty to do. Neat hangouts are AA, Novi, and Royal Oak. Canadia has a neat strip just across the border, but the flooding of 19-20 year olds (drinking age is 19 in Canadia) will probably ruin your experience. Detroit and a couple of the areas on the south metro side, are the rougher areas. Downtown Detroit is really neat and a baseball game mixed walk down the street to Greektown (try Pizza Papalis) is a neat experience. Good luck on your move and you'll get tired of the snow after your first year. Hopefully you've got a front wheel drive or 4wheel drive. It makes driving a bit easier in snow.
Look on the bright side; You'll be closer to Philly![]()
wtf is mikejones99 definitely not me jrolla
And on the more depressing side, you'll also be that much closer to D.C and a certain Bear....

Thanks for all of the support and tips, everyone! I've never been to Michigan before, but I'll be there this weekend visiting and I'll remember the advice on apartments, etc.
Good luck, guys. You are going to love it! What a great experience for you both!
Y'all will be close to Canada and the higher alcoholic content beer.
