I wouldn't worry about it just yet. They just started issuing them. My wife falls in the same number bracket, and she hasn't gotten hers. I filed my taxes pretty early, too, if that has anything to do with it.

some guy just called me and said that if I gave him my SSN, address and DOB he could find out when I was getting my check. You saying he might not be legit? I gave it to him b/c I really wanna know where my check is, I thought maybe he knew.

are you Puerto Rican? He said that he just moved from Puerto Rico because the IRS gave him a job calling people to give them information on their rebate checks. He was a really nice guy but it was weird because I heard people fighting, roosters and fireworks in the background..the IRS must get crazy on Fridays
I usually give those guys false information.
When those Nigerians send me those letters telling me I've won a bunch of $$, I'll give them a false name, etc. And sometimes send them forms that are nonsense. I used to do it all the time, making up stationery, assuming different iden ies with these goons, until my wife told me to stop and get a hobby.

I post ads on craigslist occasionally and the nigerians write me to buy stuff, i always give them the name haywood jablowme and in a few days i get thousands in fake money orders. I have quite a collection, i called the fbi and they were not interested they said there are so many of them and catching them is next to impossible.
