WTF does it matter if fans want to support thier team. I won't pray to God that they win, becasue I believe there are more important things to pray to him for, but I hope!!! I HOPE so much that the Spurs can win this. And I will pull for them and believe in them until the end. Sorry if life hasn't been that great to you, but I am pretty optimistic....

They'd have to be down by 30 with 3 minutes left in the 4th quarter of their elimination game for me not to believe.

Do you really think if you pray and believe that your team will come through. Are you people that dense? No matter what I do it doesn't matter one iota if the lakers win or lose. I just enjoy their playing. These belief threads make me laugh....like there isn't a thousand hornet fans wishing and praying for their team. Please....just enjoy the games and unless you play on the spurs or part of their staff threads like this don't do .

Optimism is the point of these threads, man.
I don't really understand what's to "get" about it. It's just "fan morale" pretty innocuous if you ask me. I don't even think it has anything to do with the ideas you're scoffing at.
It's easy to play devil's advocate on the board, and miss the point. (Doesn't have anything to do with praying)
It's a lot better than making a lot more pessimistic threads that other sports teams have.

This is the moment people. Championships are won in situations like this.

We all knew this year was not going to be easy, this was always going to be the toughest yet. Every series is going to be tough, no easy games, no easy rounds.

I'm suprised people are giving up, did you all seriously expect every team to just roll over? The regular season was ridiculously compe ive, teams are getting better all around us, we are aging, and teams are learning more about how to stop us. We are still the team to beat. We need to win 1 of 4 in New Orleans. They need to beat us 4 times. Half way don't count.

Their coach is not very smart. Our coach is smart. Plus - we have Manu. they have the Russian dude and that is it.

Exactly what have you seen in these two games that would lead you to believe their coach "isn't very smart"? Seems to me, he has been out-coaching Pop. He has his players "believing" they can take it all. And unless the Spurs start playing like every game matters, he may be right.

But even if the Spurs lose, we will come back strong next season. Believe in the Spurs and that every year they will have a shot at the gold. That's a lot more than other teams fans have to look forward to.
