LOL. history is on our side. most of the time, when a team is up 3-1 they lose game 5. NBA is also in on it - they don't make money unless a series goes to 6 games. We're also on the road.

don't freak out. Spurs will be fine. Duncan and Manu will have big games in game 6. people are so fragile here. One minute we're celebrating being up 3-1 and the next minute we're panicking like we're on the verge of losing.

That's the good thing about stealing home court.. They've already won their 2 home games and all they need is the last one at home and dallas is done. If not then game 7 should be very interesting.

    Wow Butler with 35 points.

That is something that can't happen.

if we have seen anything from the spurs for the last 7 years with pretty much this same core we would know that they will come out strong next game. ive seen too many games like this, theyve gotten blown out before many times and would come back and deploy a totally different game that wins it all. I actually can see why they threw this game. and mason coming in so early is a sign of that.

I still think the spurs will take the series

All I know is if they come out even remotely like they did tonight, they'll lose game 6. Won't be close. They can't play so lackadaisically.

Only the Spurs get worn out by playing excessive minutes.
Kidd isn't out there. He's the only Mav susceptible to that.

Look at the final game of the reg season. Same thing almost. Mavs still came out their same old confident way in game 1.

Guys, the Mavs, in fact ALL Dallas sports teams get a head of steam very easily. They get momentum from game to game really easily.

It's once they are a clear frontrunner that they all crash down in flames.

If game 6 is a dogfight, and we lose, there is no doubt in my mind we lose game 7. No ing doubt. This is still a Dallas team that has owned our taints for five straight ing years.

The best idea was to come out and match their energy for this game. And we laid a giant egg. this I'm so pissed.
At the level they're playing at, they might have a let down come Game 6 from the additional minutes, especially going on the road. They took Game 1 back that was after a 3-day layoff and they still had lapses that the refs made up for. Against this lineup, I'm just saying that I think you look to get your guys geared up for Game 6.

Pop is genius. This way, if the Spurs win game 6, Duncan and Manu won't have all that needless rest before the next series.

Question: Why are the Spurs just going to let Najera get away with trying to injure one of our big 3 for 2 games in a row?

Just another dimension in which the Spurs have assumed the fetal position in this game.

They MUST retaliate. That's how playoff basketball is done.

Otherwise, they've just conceded the physical aspect of the game to the Mavs, giving the Mavs even a greater psychological edge and momentum for game 6.

Terrible effort to be honest, I really thought we needed this game because there will be quite a bit of pressure on the Spurs in game 6.

Bogans is absolutely pathetic! I mean, he's got to at least show that he can hit those 3 point shots.

I didn't celerbrate with a 3-1 lead. In fact I knew Dallas were very, very good and can't take them lightly. a lot of fans did start celebrating though and Spurs look like they thought the Mavs would go away.

Not at center against Haywood... he's too slim, he'd get overpowered on rebounds constantly. But against Dirk, he could put some pressure in the paint that Bonner and Dice never do.
U're right I didn't mean against him but to counter the same profile young big who can blk rebound and alter shots.

True. I hope Pop doesn't revert back to regular season Pop and play Bonner and Mason over 10 combined minutes. Bonner has been from the start. Mason is below .

This move by Pop makes everything positive he's done in game 1-4 moot to me.

If we lose game 6 we lose the series, end of story. I'll bet my taint on it.

If we win game 6, we get have slim chance to keep up with the athletic Suns.

    Prahps Pop.

This game was just terrible. Just a complete blow-out. So disappointing, but I am not surprised. To be honest, I would have been more surprised had Dallas lost game 5.
