Gaming laptops are super-expensive. Building one is out-of-the-question unless you seriously know what youre doing (I dont).
If you are a RTS player, buy something that'll run Dawn of War and lower.
If not, youre ed. $3k+
anybody have any recommendations on a good gaming laptop? i plan on buying one soon for school related things... but i'd like for it to be able to run some decent games.

Actually, you can find a "decent" gaming laptop for around $1500 ... take a look at the 15" Dell Vostro line (I prefer them cause of the black, you can get an 8600GT M in them) or some of the ASUS line of notebooks.
I got my Xbox 360 two months after it came out and have had no issues. My friend tho is on his 3rd.
Just beat BioShock and got the good ending, While short made me feel good.
Now I am going to start working on Lair for my ps3.
Me too, last night. I want to go back and harvest all the Little Sisters this time.
I'm harvesting all those ing kids so I can't wait to see the ending.
NBA Live 08 demo is on marketplace. I haven't d/l it yet. I won't be able to till tonight. Any thoughts on it would be cool to pass along if anyone gets a chance to play.
I'll likely download it when I got time to take my 360 downstairs to my router in a couple of hours.
Man I have so many games I need to play. I have Lost Planet that I never finished. My roomate has a bunch too like Dead Rising, and Fear. I also want to go buy Final Fantasy 4 for ps2.
I don't like killing the Big Daddy's because it feels like I am killing King Kong or some misunderstood creature that is only protecting a little girl. I find myself just watching the interaction between the little sisters and the BD. I save the little sisters, I also can't bring myself to kill them.

on top of all that im still trying to get through my seasons in Madden, MLB 2k7, and NBA 2k7. I need to just play one game one whole day and get through them. Oh yeah and I have had my roomates crackdown for over 3 months and havent played it once. LOL
You better hurry up and catch up lol, NBA 2k8 comes out early oct so youre good there. But, if you like Guitar Hero games, Assassins Creed, Army of Two, Burnout, and Halo you are gonna fall way behind
Well yeah I dont know if ill get 2k8, i usually wait every other year for sports games. Yeah that reminds me I need to finish Burnout Revenge too.....DAMMIT. I plan to get GH3 and Burnout. When Halo comes out forget it.....thats all Im playing.
well shot myself there. few days after posting this my 360 would freeze. I was lucky to play a full game of madden. I had the Best Buy plan tho. I took it this morning got a new 360 with hdmi output and new smaller chip and 50 back cuz the cost is down from when I got it.
Let me know if you wanna get all the achievements for the online of Burnout I need em too but it would be nice to race another person and crash them into the wall a million times....for some reason on that game online people get mad when you make them crash.....pisses me off since youre supposed to do that lol

NBA Live 08 demo is up. You can be Spurs @ Cavs, or France @ Spain (or the other way around, not sure). I didn't play Live 07 because I heard it was terrible. This one doesn't seem as bad as 06, but it's still too far behind NBA 2k series, it's ridiculous.
The odd thing is, you can not put Spurs as the home team, it will shade them out. Never got live, always been a 2k baller.
I know, that's the first thing I tried. I wanted to see how the At&t looked. Live was alright for the old xbox/ps2, but I've always been 2k everything
Just finished playing the live 08 demo and after watching a clip of Live's programers and producers, etc. talk about this year being better then the previous games. That last year wasn't up to snuff but this year it was going to be good. Well this game looks just like last 2 years of live, the animations in this game are terrible. the way the ball bounces off the rim is terrible and what's with the hoop, its way to big.
Trying to get past the fact the game looks like ass and actually see if the game is any good is a tough task, from what i played it seemed more sim this year. Which is definitely a step forward and having FIBA teams is cool also, but i just don't see this game being in the same league as 2k8.

what is both of yours gamertags? I am off the next 5 days so I will be online allot. I just pick up Warhawk also. I love Burnout been a fan since the first Xbox games.
Live 08 is ass. Animations suck. They should take a year off and learn how to actually make it good. I though it was gonna be good this year too.
