Poor sustainment via sea, neptune threat, limited availability of troops, no air superiority. Unless there is a very limited scope mission, it has suicide mission written all over it.

Though when we did the same damn thing in Afghanistan for over 20 years that was just peachy keen.
The territorial defense with some AT weapons, some old tanks, old aircraft, and some neptunes should stop any threat from going beyond the beach. The russians will not surprise attack anyone.
But more importantly, those Ukrainian forces could be used to threaten russians in Transnistria should they get frogy.
