    Dragic won't play. He's finished.
Po dopoldanskem treningu v Katovicah je postalo jasno, da Goran Dragič ne bo več zaigral na EP na Poljskem.

    Congrats guys.
You definetely deserve a medal in this tournament.

Jaka at his best and Erazem really rocks offensively.

Props to Zdovc(and lol Ales Pipan).

Unfortunatelly I think that's wishful thinking, they were saying they "hope" to get him ready for the finals and you are hoping he'll be ready for the SF. IMO just not gonna happen.

    Jaka at his best
Jaka is incredible. Though he's had 7 turnovers this game, but it's not unexpected considering he's been playing 40 minutes for the last two games.

Props to Zdovc(and lol Ales Pipan).
Well, it's not like Pipan did that bad of a job. He was our most successful coach till now.

So Jaka was incredible with 11 points 3/6 fg, 5 assists, 2 rebs and 7 turnovers and Spanoulis with 23 points 6/11 fg, 7 assists, 4 rebs, 2 steals and 7 turnovers almost choked his team????

He didn't do that good either. He had the best players available. His team was better than this year's team, in my opinion.

With Pipan, you never understood certain subs uitons he made and timeouts he didn't call and plays he did call etc....with Zdovc, everything seems perfect. From a fan's point of view of course. The timeouts are called on time, the subs make sense....everything.

He's incredible because he played practically 40 minutes in each of the last two games. We have no backup PG remember?

Yeah Zdovc is doing a better job. But until Zdovc Pipan was the best we had.

We don't really need Smoki at this point imo... he is more useful as bench supporter/co-coach than going out there completely out of rythm. We would really need another guard but as we can't get any (with Dragic out) we should stop thinking about it...

THIS group of guys got to the semi-finals and THIS group of guys is capable of getting the gold medal if they keep on playing well. Even though I don't know how many godlike performances Lorbek has left in him... I can't understand how Jaka will play tomorow :/

As for "tso & lo Cavfanatic aka KBP"... I am banning you. I hope that after a forum ban you would stay out, but i guess that was a pipe dream.

    your trolling ass. Bye...

I am so proud of these guys that I still have chills. I cried the day they qualified for the worlds for the first time ever in the tournament in Belgrade, and I cried today. No one gets to blame their missing players when you see what Slovenia has done. I am extra happy for Samo.

Pipan lacked any logistic support from the federation. Remember when they sent players on a 10 hour flight to Asia in coach? The greek players complained they didn't get enough rooms and two players needed to share the room - Slovenian players got first chance to have single rooms at this championship. And when they didn't get good practice hours in the official court this support team arranged them a seperate practice hall. This kind of small things add up and they distract the team from concentrating on the only thing that matters - playing.

Pipan was far from perfect, but he was the best we had. Plus one has to remember the state of the team, when he took over - a team with losing mentality, with lots of infighting and players not wanting to play for the NT. He did good - not great and far from perfect, but he did good.

Thanks timvp. Yeah they really play the best basketball in the tourny.

Our guys crying? We can say our national team basketball success is ensured with such spartan mentality! I can't imagine anyone denying Zdovc next year..

That is also why I was so confident before the game with Croatia... these guys are crazy determined!

    p.s.

Vujačič! (I can't help myself to remember the he poured on NT every single day)
