It's all how you say it and to what audience you are saying it too. If you are around a bunch of Mexican buddies and you call them s and they laugh and make fun of whatever race you may be (I happen to be white), then it's no big deal. But if you call a bunch of Mexicans who happen to be strangers s, chances are that it's going to offend someone. Common sense goes a long way in deciding racially charged tones.
You know what I'm more shocked about is the disdain that Mexicans don't like white people. I never knew this until just recently........go figure.
