You've got a full 11 seconds and the best you can do is get a heaved up off balance 3? WTF!
Naw, you got your ass whipped in the finals though so I got over it pretty much then. Justice was already served there.

I still remember jumping on my bed(literally) in excitement after Timmy hit that shot.![]()

[QUOTE=Budkin;5614554]You've got a full 11 seconds and the best you can do is get a heaved up off balance 3? WTF![/QUO Neal should of taken the last shot
All we needed was a 2 to win the game and the ball never even went inside the arc.
Yeah, Bonner messed that up from the beginning though by fumbling it, we were lucky to even get the ball back there at all. Green almost hit that one man, damn that was close. I am having a hard time seeing what some see which is a positive here because they had a 7 pt lead late and lost it regardless who was in there. I see a tough loss where others see a moral victory, go figure lol.
That Finals pales in comparison to the 0.4 shot, historically.
That play is immortal.![]()
Another kick-in-the-teeth loss. Unlike last season where Spurs pulled away in those close last second games, they haven't been able to this season. 2 point loss to Kings, 3 point loss to Bucks, and now a 1 point loss to Mavs.
Despite the loss, It's great to see that the reserve bench is really picking it up. On the other hand, Pop was a ing dumbass to not bring in the starters in clutch time.
You're a dumb . That shot never should have counted and you got what you deserved in the finals. Enjoy that championship. Oh wait you got your asses handed to you in the finals. Enjoy that.
Not really, one is for a ring, the other got you what? .4 for nothing as I always said, it rings true. I could care less about that now though since it's so far back and the Spurs whether win that series or not would have been beaten in the Finals if they met Detroit IMO (Spurs were better a year later when they won it).
If that one play makes the year for you though so be it bro. I would rather have .4 against me and win a le than go on to lose it though (Spurs did not win it though so I don't care really).
Bonner was about to let the ball go out of bounds even though it would have been off him. That unit played well despite him. I know he spreads the floor but that's sometimes fool's gold.
Neal had 7 assists. He can definitely get better at finding the roll man but not too many guys are good at that. Manu's probably the best on the team.
Totally agree... the Spurs completely choked at the end of regulation. A 7 pt lead with under 2 minutes? No excuse for blowing that.
The sad thing is since last year against Portland they seem to be doing just that! Hearbreaking losses after heartbreaking losses up late! They seem to just flat out cringe up with a lead late and go on to OT and lose the game or lose it on some wild last second shot.
Still so bitter after almost a decade![]()
I'm here for you, let your emotions pour out
Of course the ring is the thing, but you coat-tailing another team's success b/c you couldn't beat us is funny
Oh, and I'm 100% correct on the Fisher play being 100x more memorable than the Finals. There was no transcendent moment for either team in that series, no highlight (with the possible exception of Kobe's 3 in Game 2).
0.4 will live forever, and I know that b/c Spurfan brought it up yet again today![]()
The needed execution, Pop never subbed in TP who could have steadied them. Maybe even could have subbed in TD with Tiago for a bit more defense.
I'm not bitter about losing because I don't acknowledge the Lakers winning that series. You won it on a up from the timekeeper.
Yeah, no bitterness in that post whatsoever![]()
Yeah I see why the finals are not memorable to you, see why you want to dissmiss the finals and forget! No highlights blah blah blah, it was one sided and should have been a sweep. It will live forever yeah because it was a freak shot, but I can bet you Malone or anyone on that team would take a ring over one shot that won a game. I did not bring it up BTW, but when you can't get it off in .05 with less motion then damn man lol.
Ice you got time to get in the chat man? This is Rzarector from the other board.
Oh, if you can think of any plays from that Finals that you remember, then by all means let us know.
0.4 is immortal, just deal with it![]()
How about the refs letting calls go. Tiago was fouled numerous times inside late in the 4th quarter and the freaking refs let it go everytime because Dallas was down 9 in their own building. ing joke. The Spurs still blew the game, but a call or two would have slowed the momentum. NBA refs. Bunch of gutless pricks. Won't make the right call if it's against the home team who is down on their own court.
What is this, ing computer assistance from NBA Jam?
And what's the commentators name. Siding on every call for Dallas.
but fLakers were upset in the NBA Finals by the Detroit Pistons 4 games to 1!
They had the same inbounds play for the Neal and-1, but they had the players in the right position. For that last play, they put Bonner in Neal's spot for some reason, which means they wanted to run the pick and roll with Bonner and Splitter. Stupid.
