"we were following orders"
"we were following orders"
what, like with a cloth?
How convenient for Trump.
Isn't canning official records a crime or something?
Trump's post election firings and hirings are starting to make sense now.
Probably fake news.
The head of uscp, the head of DHS, the DHS inspector general, the head of department of defense, we're all trash appointees, all acting, none approved
Expect exactly the same from president DeSantis or similar we plug president
DOJ is investigating Trump, it seems. Executive privilege may not apply wrt the executive branch.
I don't think that's how it works. Really depends on the judge and I expect fierce pushback, including possibly heading to the SCOTUS.
IIRC, Meadows already lost in this count. I'll see if I can find a relevant thread, some legal eagles seem to think the case law is bad for Cipollone.
here's the thread
Dunno that’s the same thing though. Cipollone did collaborate with the panel, just kept direct conversations with Trump under executive privilege, which is absolutely legal, unless the current POTUS waives it.
it's not the same thing, J6 committee vs. a federal grand jury. Crime and fraud defeat privilege claims, as we've seen with Eastman.
Cipollone: "uh - that is privileged...."
DOJ/Gr Jury: "you were representing the people of the usa in the white house - so you are concealing crimes - and if you wish we can charge you with concealing those crimes"
Cipollone: " trump - ill cooperate"
We'll put it thru the court system and pray that Thomas lives long enough to be there when the vote is tallied.
black people good now?
