Makes you wonder if it's the coaching staff or Arnold really is a bust. I guess he'll be transferring quickly and we'll find out soon enough
Michigan had no passing attack and won that game.

Yeah Lincoln's seat got a lot warmer after that one
The MWC would have to be the one left out of the equation. Right....?
Immediate reaction is Arnold will portal and follow Lebby, who recruited him to Oklahoma, to Mississippi State.
Are you asking if the Mountain West would dissolve?
Yeah, seems like the Pac is still more desirable than the MWC. Barely but still.
I think Brent Venables may be aware of how fragile Jackson Arnold’s situation is.
See below:
Asked specifically about the CHANGE IN QB Venables goes into a stream of consciousness excuse about WRs not running correct routes, not filling gaps, the defense staying outside the tackles… wtf???? 41:15 - 43:35 the QUARTER BACK CHANGE BRENT???
Never even says Jackson Arnold.
While before the 41:15 time mark he spends 2 minutes at least, NAMING Danny Stutsman and his mistakes? Like the defense was a big problem?
My take is Stutsman can be kicked around because he is the best player on that team and will be in the NFL next year, and Jackson Arnold was totally shook just like ATMs Weigman. This makes me grateful for someone like Sarkisian who knows offense and QBs.
I guess if you are an ex defensive coordinator you just don’t get QBs. Venables settling a QB with those eyes and his face getting ready to explode… I don’t see this guy as a calm settling influence for a QB. Let the freshman go in and sling it around, that’s the ticket. If it goes bad next week for the freshman… I guess it’s coach Casey Thompson. Hope his thumb has healed.
Doesn't sound like the Mountain West is going away, but I don't know enough about the ins and outs to give you a good response.
I can say like the Pac-12, they need eight to remain a recognized conference.
Fascinating in that it seemed like a no brainer for schools to leave the MWC and maybe even the AAC to head for the Pac 2 but I guess not. Sad days for a once mighty conference.
