On CB offer Jalen Lott of Frisco Panther Creek...OTF mentioned he's scheduled to speak with Sark today, and it's expected that he'll be recruited as a WR first going forward.

It sounds like the staff doesn't want Oregon having an advantage simply because they're recruiting him at a different position.

My own take on this is it speaks to how the staff feels about their chances with Bishop, Jr., King and Matthews at CB, and maybe even Howard, Jr. as well.

IT reporting Ryan Niblett, the "fastest player on the team," is returning to offense.

The staff wants to utilize him much like they did with Bolden last season at punt returner, jets, sweeps, etc.

A few quotes from CB target Hayward Howard, Jr. of New Orleans, LA on his visit to Texas (IT):

“It was good, I liked it, and it was a surprise,” Howard Jr told Inside Texas. “They say everything really bigger in Texas. I guess everything really is bigger in Texas. The coaches, coach Orphey, coach Sark, they all stood out. Coach Sark was really chill. They were really cool. They made me feel at home.”

“I grew up with (Wardell) Mack,” said Howard. “He was in 12th grade when I was a freshman. I thought he was like Lebron. Him and Arch were like Lebron to us in New Orleans.”

“I’m ready to commit,” said Howard about the recruiting process. He’s looking at a late July announcement.
