Rouse spoke with On3 about his visit to Austin last week:
“Texas made a big impression on me and they have worked their way up on my board,” Rouse told On3. “I got to see the facilities, watch practice and go through meetings with the staff and team. I also had time to see the city of Austin and tour the campus. It was definitely what I expected, maybe a little more.”
“I talked to almost everyone on the staff. Talking with coach Nansen and Coach CG was great. They had a lot of ball to teach while also focusing on the fundamentals of football and the defense. Josh Dunson was also great in touring us around all week and making sure we saw everything the campus has to offer."
“I can’t pick one thing that stood out, but the location of the campus is great. It’s not too crazy of a city while there is still stuff to do. The food was amazing. Just getting to know the coaching staff and build that relationship with them was huge too."
“I left very impressed with them.”
