Scola now is a Starter, 9 Points and 5.5 Rebounds in less than 60 games and he´s 27
Oberto is a 5.5 Points and rebounds player and he´s 32
Many people select Bonner over Scola, and he´s a now in the doghouse
Many other select Elson and he´s in Seattle
Finally he´s a a player with aprox the same salary
scola is a good player. nuff said.
another good game from scola. 15 pts 5 rebs 5 steals on 6/8 from the field and 3/4 from the line.
more importantly our power forward combo was great. landry was 5/5 from the field and 5/5 from the line with 3 rebs. i swear it always feels like the guy gets more rebounds than he actually gets. maybe it's because he is averaging 2.5 offensive boards in only 15 mpg. who cares....the guy is awesome to watch.
Memphis sucks
I tell you before Navarro very overrate player and board attacks me for say this. Some Amerikan have very confuse idea about think some Euro player so good and some other so bad when usual they have everything backward.

That may be. But Navarro at least has been weaned from his mother's breast milk, so he can actually survive in the NBA.
For the second time all season Scola has a game that makes his asshat fans not look like idiots for supporting him...
2 games out of 60 aint bad I guess.
Who knows, he might even have better numbers tonight than Bonner put up in one of his 3 starts this season...

Even Bruce Bowen fans don't make a big deal when he scores 8 ing points....and he is a non offensive player.
Now that Scola has actually had a good game for only the second time all season...these asshats are going to be on the verge of delirium. I'm just keeping it real.
Bonner has had three 15+ games this year. Scola has had 10. Spurs will probably be jettisoning Splitter or Mahinmi next year just to move Bonner's ass.
18 and 14 for Scola tonight...at last, a decent game...

Minutes matter...
IF Wilt Chamberlain played Bonner's minutes he'd have never scored a hundred points.
Scola would have been nice when the Spurs go into these scoring droughts. I'd say Scola would probably be nicer to have than Bonner.
Still don't thnk Bonner has gotten a chance to really prove himself yet though.
Interestingly enough....Scola doesn't get on the floor in the fourth quarter, even with Yao injured....and the rookie Landry does. Doesn't bode well for Scola's longterm starting prospects.
Playing like crap = no minutes.
Scola, Landry or Hayes would all be keeping Bonner's sorry ass parked on the bench if they played for the Spurs.
They don't have Bonner to prevent scoring droughts...they have Manu, Barry, Parker, Duncan, and Finley to prevent those...
They have Bonner to stand out at 3 line(as a big) and stretch the defense to make Duncan's job easier.
So unless Luis starts hitting threes...

Problem is Bonner sucks so bad at everything that he can't stay on the floor. He'll Scola's twice the defender and five times the rebounder Bonner is. Even his three point shooting is no great shakes this year. Spurs will be rying to unload him until his contract's up. I hope they don't dump any talent in the process. Scola unlike Bonner could actually be traded for talent.
