not to mention the dunk contest in 2k8 is looking better than any one of live's dunk contests. and i didn't think the graphics in live were all that good. i noticed the player's legs were waaay too skinny.
Well it's gonna be hard to pick because I'm convinced that I want 2k8 but my friends are a bunch of re s and are gonna pick Live because they're all about graphics;they don't even care if the gameplay was as ed up as Live 06. So it's either picking the true game, but play by myself or pick the ed up game and play with my friends.
I think the only thing better in live is probably the stadiums; they're perfect (scoreboards, jumbotrons, that doesn't really matter in end). Although, the At&t in 2k8 looks pretty freakin good. The dribbling and shooting in Live is terrible to say the least. Oh, and commentary is probably better in Live (Marv + Kerr > Harlan + Kenny Smith)
Marv and Kerr may be better, but damn, how many years are they gonna keep saying the same ol' thing ? *Some player* with the Gooorgeous shot!! *Some player* serves up THE FACIAL!! And i'm not much of a fan of the hot spots either. I think it'd be better for the player to have to hit a few shots before he can bring up the hot spots instead of it being there when the game starts.
You're talking about the hot shots in Live? Cuz 2k8 has kinda the same thing going on, with the little cell phone bars. Like Bruce in the corner is going to have 4-5, and the color depends on how hot he's been in the game (Blue is cold, red is hot).
But yeah, the Live hot spots suck. The whole diagram thing is just...
Just played the NBA08 demo for the PS3, starts off with a intro with the Ice Man talking. When I was playing the guy calling the game would call Parker "Hollywood" once in awhile like Hollywood goes for the 3.
It's funny... NBA Live 2000 (an amazing game; the last great NBA Live) had little stuff like this, and then EA pulled it and never put it back in later versions.
I don't think it will even be close. 2k is building on an already superior platform of last year. Live has improved but they still have a long way to go.

With all the games coming in the fall rush, I dunno if it's worth it. I've only played about an hour of the game but it already feels repe ive, especially after playing both Max Paynes, which I feel are better games.
