To be honest I can't blame Howard for that cause Avery was very animated in his approach to the situation and even was using the timeout signal emphatically. To a young player in that situation your first thought is most likely "Coach wants to call a TO!" Coach's always tell their players what they want after a free throw but AJ went overboard and conveyed the wrong message to his player in a crunch time situation.

I think you're right and i don't know that Josh knows the timeout situation, i don't think most players keep track on how many time outs they have left. So maybe Josh thought they had 2 or more left and AJ was trying to ice Wade and they'd still have a time out left. But people will remember Howard for that play like Weber for his timeout, even though the entire Michagan bench was yelling "call time out" the blame falls on the player who called it.

I haven't even watched any of the games, and I know I won't be the first to say this, but the Mavs, from top to bottom, complain so damn much it's not funny or amusing anymore. They should be the last people complaining about fouls/fts and anything else. When they have a huge ft advantage, they just played hard and earned the win, but when they are on the other end, they get robbed. Cuban and Avery suck balls, and I hope to god they don't win the championship. What goes around comes around...finally.

Since NBC now has Sunday Night Football with Madden and Michaels and Monday Night Football is moving to ESPN - ABC had to cut ties with Al once the deal went through... Al mentioned how it was disappointing to him that ABC Sports was letting him go because he couldn't do the NBA playoffs which was one of his favorite times of the year, especially after he had put in over 30 years of service with the company...

If Darrell Armstrong isn't the biggest flopper in the NBA, well nothing, because he is. It's why I never listen to the Mavericks fans crying about Manu's defense.

Griffin was lucky in that situation IMO. If there's a collision trying to draw a charge the refs are forced to make a judgment call, and that's never a good thing. Just ask Tim Duncan.

Lots of things have gone Miami's way the last 3 games. Dirk FINALLY began to pull his head part of the way out of his ass last night (where it has been firmly lodged this entire series).

I know this is a Spurs forum and most of you want Dallas to lose but don't hand the le to Miami just yet. This is the NBA and anything can happen...as we saw in the second half last night. IF, and I'll admit it is a big if, Dallas comes back and wins this series there will be a lot of people eating crow- or "saying Dallas didn't REALLY win the championship", etc. etc.

If they lose, it will be one of the biggest choke jobs by a team in the Finals- ever. But, we will congratulate Miami and get on with our lives. This IS only the NBA after all.

Abso-freakin-lutely. Total BS. By the sound of all the Mavs interviews, I think we take game 6. They are playing against the world and will definitely go down swinging. No matter what, gotta take your hats off to them. Thats a lot of adversity for one team in one week no less. Watch it NBA, you may have created a monster.

NBA should be ashamed of themselves. The Mavs know they outplayed the Heat in that game. They had it flat-out stolen by the refs, no arguing it on this one.

really got the impression that there must be a conspiracy, because the refs did everything for him and even the abc idiots talked about Wade, Wade and Wade and what an amazing game he played, although he sucked in every part of the game apart from FT shooting. At halftime "let's talk about Wade first" and every ****ing second in the game it was all about Wade.

Hey, heads up, nobody on this board cares about your feelings after the second round series.
